The man in the pictures of Wakefield in the newspapers is Canadian actor Callum Keith Rennie. Since this actor was hired to appear in the show, then either John Wakefield is still alive or he has a twin or will be seen if flashbacks.

The actor who played Booth said that the viewers will see Booth again but he didn't specify whether Booth will be seen alive or dead. If Malcolm is murdered before Booth returns then Booth could be the killer since no one other than Malcolm knows where Booth is buried. I can't see anyone else digging up a random pile of dirt to try and find Booth.

Abby is the main focus of the killer. The psychic said "He wants you dead. He will not stop!".

Murderer theories:

1. John Wakefield is still alive. The sheriff shot the wrong person and in order to cover his ass, had the coroner id the dead person as John Wakefield. That could be the reason why the sheriff is so obsessed with other serial killings that occured in the area. He thinks that John Wakefield is still alive and did the other similar serial killings.

2. Joel Booth is still alive. He needed to fake his death so that he could separate himself from the other wedding guests. No one died when Booth was away on the gift fishing trip for Henry. Faking his death in front of Malcolm (who isn't the sharpest tool in the shed), gave Booth a way to be apart from the wedding so that he can do things that are time consuming like rigging the head spade to fall from the church chandelier when the lights are turned off. Since Malcolm lied and said that Booth went back to the mainland, no one will suspect Booth.

3. John Wakefield has a twin brother who is doing the killings.

4. Jimmy Mance is the killer. The psychic's omen could mean that Abby is the killer's main subject. Jimmy may not have gotten over Abby's leaving him and could have suffered permanent psychological damage. As a fisherman, he is the only one of the 25 suspects (other than Shane who is in jail and thus is eliminated as the killer) who is likely to be proficient in using a head spade and a harpoon.

5. Cole Harkin is the killer. He possibly went nuts from being permanently physically scarred after surviving the boat explosion.

6. The Sheriff is the killer and the shrine in his place is really articles about the murders he's been committing.

I'd add a couple of more points:

- Two people must have strung up the harbor master in that manner. So either Wakefield had a partner, OR, there were two killers other than Wakefield both on the loose.

- Whoever tied up Ben must have experience diving and a certain amount of strength. Therefore, the killer (or killer's partner in crime) must have a certain amount of braun.

- The producer of Harper's Globe says the killer their is the same killer on Harper's Island. I hope we see more or Robin Matthews on Harper's Island or more HI's cast on Harper's Globe. I think Cole Harkin may end up being Cheshire Cat, the silent one who only speaks through video.

Henry also worked on the island when he was younger.

Some other points:

I am working under the assumption that there is only a single killer. The tagline for the show is similar to Survivor. It's "13 weeks, 25 suspects, 1 killer". So as with Survivor there are no conspiracies (although Romber might be an exception). One reason I'm ruling out Henry is since I'm assuming that there is a single killer, it doesn't make sense that Henry would send himself a fake text message from Uncle Marty.

I have also eliminated Sheriff Mills as a suspect because it is very unlikely that he would taunt himself by leaving that newspaper article at Kelly Seaver's house after she was murdered. Why would the sheriff color the eyes in his own picture with red dye or leave the message "You found her, now find me."? If the sheriff were the murderer, his leaving that message would really be confusing to the audience.

The killer is probably not part of the wedding party. It would be difficult to have to keep slipping away for periods of time to either set up death traps or perform the murders without someone noticing that the killer is missing. Since I'm sticking with a 'single killer' theory, that is another reason why I have eliminated Henry. Someone would certainly notice if the groom was missing for a significant amount of time. Now that there is a known killer, everyone involved in the wedding is up for being held accountable for there whereabouts by the sheriff or anyone else.

If it was really Booth who was able to enter and leave the suite while Malcolm was sleeping and not be noticed then he is a strong candidate to be the killer. One theory I have is that Joel Booth is an identity that he assumes in public and that Joel is really someone else. It's kind of like Superman and Clark Kent. The real identity of Joel Booth could be the copy cat killer that the Sheriff believes to exist.

Jimmy Mance is also a strong possibility. He tends to be away from the scene of the murders. He opted out of the party by the bonfire (where Lucy was killed) and he left the church after dropping Abby off rather than attending the rehearsal. One strike against Jimmy being the killer is that there have been clues that murderer is staying at the Candlewick Inn. The matches used to set Lucy on fire and the gun that was used to kill Hunter both came from the Inn.

I also have one other possibility.

7. Cal - he is Chloe's guest and isn't really part of the wedding party. No one, other than Chloe, would give a damn if Cal went missing for a period of time. It is possible that both Cal and Chloe are involved but that goes against my 'single killer' theory. Though it was convenient that that both of them were away during the wedding rehearsal. Also, the timing is off. Cal was probably hanging upside down when Lucy was murdered.

I don't believe that Lucy was an intended victim but after Gigi ran off and she fell into the pit, she became toast (pun intended).

My top suspects are either Booth or John Wakefield or Wakefield's twin.
