I can't stop posting in this thread. I was a little bummed by the retention, until I read that it was the second highest rated series premiere of the
entire 08-09 season on any network.

I'm going to hope the kids get into the hype FOX is building for this one over the summer and it manages to do well after the solidly-performing dance show in the fall. Even then, if Dollhouse can get renewed there's always hope. The digital sales would seem to be a good sign that people are digging it, though the impending deluge of Idol stuff is likely going to send it down both the itunes & the Billboard charts.

I wonder how many sales #1 on itunes is?
A thousand? A million? I am just wondering if there's a chance that even if ratings sag, if this show could sustain profitability via song sales. It can't hurt anyway. |

I don't know if it's eligible for the Billboard Hot 100, but if it is and it debuts in the Hot 100 I think FOX will be very happy.

It varies but #1 for digital sales the past few weeks has been something like 200-220k. Hopefully with all the Idol stuff, they'll be strong enough to
stay top 10 which should net them over 100k if sales are robust this week.

I friggen adored this show so much. I've watched it like 3 times since. Reminded me so much of my
highschool experience
btw, I did some digging and found a performance they did to promote the show of 'Somebody to Love' by Queen, that I believe is going to be featured on a future show. Pretty kick-ass. yw!

Ooh! Thanks for that. There are a couple of numbers in the longer pilot that didn't make last night's version. They're nifty too. I highly reccommend watching the version posted a few pages back. While my DVD burn of it was a bust, I was able to finish it on my computer. I did download the (500mb) avi and watched it that way. I am so nuts, I'm just playing it over and over again on hulu, not even watching it, because Dollhouse's performance on (Fox co-owned) Hulu was a deciding factor in its miraculous renewal. |

I love Jayma Mays! She is like tip-toeing over all the hit shows, but it looks like she has finally found a starring role. I liked the pilot, hope it stays a
while.

Pjadded, What previews for the first season? Mind to share where you saw this preview?

I think the preview in question is the season preview that they showed yesterday after the show.
And with regards to Kurt and Puck (the football player), I can spot a repressed closet case a mile away ("homo-explosion"?). I'm almost certain that if they were going to do a gay-couple storyline in the future, it would be those two. P.S. If you haven't already, and you really can't wait, download that vid from the FOX upfronts that BAB posted as it most likely will get taken down, knowing FOX's penchant for removing their materials from YouTube. ETA: Here's the season preview from Tuesday night.

I agree with everyone who thinks that Kurt and Football guy will get together in the future. also in the youtube video of the cast singing at the upfronts I
can spot Puck (footplayer) with them, so is he going to join Homo-explosion soon?

I had no idea this was a scripted show until someone made me watch the preview. I just assumed it was anotehr lame-ass talent show. Looks pretty good but very
much a riff on Popular. Also wonder how this will sustain as a weekly show.

Well since Ryan Murphy created Popular, it's no surprise that it has some elements from that show. Well i'm sure the first season will focus on them
trying to fill the last 6 spots since they need 12 to compete. And if goes on for future seasons, I'm sure they'll focus a little bit more on
storylines outside the Glee club. \
Mary Cherry better make an appearance as Kurt's Mom or a Teacher. |

Mary Cherry <3
"Do I have to do splits? I'm Christian." I loved her and "Joe" and of course Delta Burke as Cherry Cherry. |

So this show was good? I wanted to watch it but I missed it.

That "Somebody to Love" video kinda spoils how they fill the rest of the spots.
