With the extremely fashion conscious Adam Lambert, Siggins saw this week's work as the first step into his post-Idol career. Planning for the finale, Siggins took Adam to meet with the local LA designer Michel Berandi, who's over-the-top sensibility he found a good match with Adam's. "The guys a genius. I wanted Adam to meet him because I think going forward they'll have a very good working relationship," Siggins said. In an example of how the wardrobe could change the feel of a piece, he showed off the overcoat Adam was to wear for his reprise of "Mad World."

"Last time," Siggins said, "the whole look was light and airy. This time it's dark and very dramatic."

Showing off some of the costumes for the Wednesday results show, the drama of the outfits - the details of which can not yet be revealed, only increases with some jaw dropping, off the charts pieces. Siggins says, "Adam is at the point now where he says, 'I've made it this far I just want to be exactly who I am. Lets go over the top and let's do exactly when we want to do.' So we've really really gone for the theatrical and we're not so worried if it will scare people."

However, Siggins points out, on the other end, Adam has the ability to wear classic suits, in almost the same breath as the Mad Max-wear. He points to the suit Adam has lined up for his second number on Tuesday. "Most of the time I start with these kids saying, 'you've got to really define your image, focus your brand. Adam's image you can do so many different things with. I think that is his image, he's a modern day David Bowie to me. He's such a chameleon."

OH MY GAAAA! This sounds exciting. This is one of the things I love about Adam - he would make me forget I was watching American Idol. I hope it's way over the top!
Last night I started out with high hopes. Mad World was beautiful, the theatricality was interesting.....and then it devolved from there.....into the usual schmalty, cheesy, bullshit I've come to expect from AI.

Adam being over the top with his outfits, his rock screams, his turning Ring of Fire into an orgasm - his chameleon like ability to go from leather to suits - that's what made the "change" come to AI.

For Simon Fuller to be so literal and make Adam sing the actual Change is Gonna Come just fucking ruins it all. Adam should have been given an fun exuberant rock song to balance Mad World. His vocals were effortless on Whole Lotta Love and Born to Be Wild - something like that would have been perfect.

And then the coronation song. Where do I even begin? Kara is a complete and utter FAIL.

Adam and Kris are different, but they both have this organic quality to them, that AI just ruined on a night that should have been a climax to the season.

Kris is likable enough for me, but overall I'm Meh to him. I downloaded one of his songs off Itunes - the one from country week. The thing that would bother me the most about him winning is the extra attention and time he would get during the concert tour.
