Lea Michelle is only 22, and I think she pulls it off well.

i loved it. however, i did get that rushed feel, like too much happened in one show. like, it woulda made more sense for the QB (dont know names yet) to take
longer to warm up to the Glee Club, like 2 or 3 episodes. It seemed a little too fast. but over all, very good.

Amazing! The Beyoncé/Kelly Rowland quip and Don't Stop Believing were just some of the highlights for me. An excellent show and an excellent start.

I don't think it was romanticizing high school much at all. It was feeding (quite well, I should add) into the standard cliches of movie and TV comedy
high school, with insane cliques, the jocks messing with the guy in the wheelchair, the cheerleader coach wanting to mess with the glee club people...
What saved this show from the crapfest it could have been was 1) the writing. It was filled with some pretty funny stuff ("they shaved his eyebrows for just watching an episode of "Gray's Anatomy...") and 2) the adult characters. The students were fine, good singers and all, but nothing groundbreaking or "hey - I didn't see that coming..." The adults, OTOH, were pretty damned good. To me, good writing is the key. This one's got it, and will make me come back in the fall to see it again. |

I really liked it. I didn't realize that the principal was in Arrested Development as Nazhgalia.

This show rules. I <3 it already. And as a teacher, I have very high praise for the writers' work with the faculty scenes. Hilarious. Loved the sign
up sheet in the locker room.

Quite possibly my favorite television pilot ever. Everything I've ever wanted in a show was there. I need to watch it again right now.

I loved it! but it felt pretty chopped up, and the Glee students need more developing. But over all it was brilliant, the writing was sharp and awesome,
hopefully it's only chopped up because it's a preview and that they'll show the full version of the pilot in the fall.

Don't Stop Believing is now #3 on Itunes. This is amazing! I really want to watch the pilot again now. This is going to be my new favorite show, if the
rest of the episodes doesn't disappoint me.

Oh no! Tonight's episode was so BOTCHED compared to the cut I saw. I knew they had to trim it down some because the cut I saw was about 50 minutes long,
but damn! Scenes were rearranged or altogether left out and it just wasn't the same experience for me. I truly hope they include the version I saw on the
DVD, and I'm pretty confident they will.
Still good though. Definitely a keeper, regardless. |

So where did all you people who have claimed to see the original version of the pilot see it? Did FOX give you some sorta special insider look before they
gave everyone else an insider look?
I'm not saying I don't believe y'all necessarily. I'm just thinking that the version seen on television tonight was the version meant to be shown all along. There would be no way that any network would be willing to lose ad-money on a limited-commercial show for a preview pilot, even following AI, at the very end of the marketing season. Now the version that will be shown in the Fall, though, is a different story. |

I'm pissed I missed this.. I totally forgot it was on.. FOX's website says I can watch the full episode, but all I am gettin gis the behind the
scene's clips right now. Hoepfully they'll fix that, I am sure they want every possible way of pulling people in to see the series. I would have
dvr'd it if I had remembered.
And the lead girl looks AMAZINGLY like Idina Menzel.. freaky... |

I just popped in my 'Popular' dvd. Good times. In the pilot they do the same basic story, popular high school jock loves to sing and wants to try out
for the musical.
This reminds me. Ryan Murphy, I just know you lurk here. Please cast Mary Cherry in Glee as a maniacal Home Ec teacher. t.ia |
