Try to curb the accusations of favoritism? 3. Hedge his bets so as to appear "right" no matter who wins? So Simon waits until the last show to throw Adam under the bus. I'm assuming he knows the vote totals. It wouldn't explain his behavior the last couple of weeks. Dial Idol certainly does not indicate that Kris is leading in votes, so we have no idea what's actually happening.

Adam was maybe a little more understated than I wanted him to be, and I liked his first performance of "Mad World" just a smidgen better than this one. Kris was really good, and I'm sorry...he does have that adorable "awwww" factor going for him that is going to pull in a lot of casual voters. I know I find him beyond adorable...
