Those are stylized fish hooks. In the Cooks, Hawai'i, and I guess in Samoa, artisans hand carve them out of mother of pearl and other materials, and men wear them as necklaces. See the loop on the top where the neck cord passes through to hang the hook. I bought a couple to give as presents at the public market in the Cooks. |

Thanks for posting!
I like the angry sun face. Not so sure about the natives hiding in the leaves. It does seem awfully the same sorts of colors as Tocantins (blue, green, yellowish brown). I guess those are colors often found in nature, but it has such a same feel to it for seasons back to back (and surely Samoa doesn't all that much look like inland Brazil). |

Dont mind the hooks, hate the boat. If they got rid of the boat the logo would look a lot less cluttered and much much better
