Two things. One I don't get why BBUK shys away from controversy. Do they really lose that much money due to it? I think carphone warehouse pulled out of one season but didn't they just get someone to replace them real quick? If anything, they should be inviting controversy, as I'm pretty sure that brings in the ratings.

If I recall correctly the Shilpa/Jade eviction was one of their highest rated shows. I guess it could 'damage' the reputation of channel four (which is kinda like PBS isn't it?) but I doubt it. They should be trying to manufacture controversy not block everything to stop it.


Second, digital spy is all about "BB's pretty much dead!" and every season it seems there is rumors of it stopping or Davina leaving. I mean obviously each season the "newness" isn't there and depending on the people and how they nominate the season could be good or bad. But still, I see BB more as sports than a TV show.

Imagine saying this about football: "Man, this football season was so boring this year. You just knew that the winning team was going to win the whole time, no one had a chance. Each week was dull as hell. None of the players were fun to watch they did the same boring plays all the time. Even if they came up with new plays, the game of football itself is so played out, who can watch the exact same game week after week year after year? Ratings were down 33% from last year. You think they'll put on another season with ratings so bad?"


Okay so maybe BB isn't too much like sports, maybe it's better compared to a soap opera. But soap operas last years and years and I just don't see why something like BB couldn't do that. Maybe they should rest it for a year or two just so people realize what they are missing. I mean I haven't seen BB in months and now I'm kinda looking forward to a season, even if it's not the best, that doesn't mean it's not fun watching it ya know.
