Can a voting octagon be achieved if all 8 individual tribe members vote each other out in a way that loops around?

I think the most random TC ever was in Season 1 at the merge episode, with 7 people getting votes. There was probably at least 4-5 way vote, doubt they'd
ever get up to 8 way lol.

In episode seven of Survivor Borneo, seven different contestants received votes (an all-time record), but there were no voting triangles or other polygons. It
was a standard 2-person voting faceoff (Gretchen vs Rudy) with two voting strings attached. I call them strings, because they don't close into a loop to
create a polygon.
The longest voting string ever occured at that tribal council: Greg voted for Jenna, she voted for Gervase, he voted for Sue, she voted for Gretchen, she voted for Rudy. The other string was: Sean voted Colleen, she voted for Richard, he voted for Gretchen, she voted for Rudy. |

How many times have two people voted for each other and neither of them were voted out? I guess this could include Neleh vs. Kathy, with Paschal leaving...

The example you mentioned (Paschal's "Purple Rock" elimination) is the only time two people (Kathy & Neleh) voted for each other and neither
was eliminated.
