JT): Stephen is pretty much the only option left, imo, I cannot see neither Erinn or JT winning with Stephen in the F2. I know JT is apparentely a very positive player, but Stephen's edit is way better. I just did not eliminate Erinn and JT, because of last season fiasco. I see in JT edit a lot of imperfections that concerned me last season with both Matty's (my winner pick) and Kenny's edit, and I don't see these imperfections in Stephen's, like a lot of things that these palyers talk about and you think it will play out does not happen or contradict what the player said.... Erinn, in my point of view, has a story of personal growthy and is not our winner, but, if, miraculously, the editors are throwing another Bob on us, she's the only option left, and that's the reason I'm keeping her as my #2. About the chicken heart: it's delicious, y'all should try it.

Posts: 198 (05/07/09 10:56 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Now, don't kill me Oo because I like to think I've been fairly open minded all season but here's my reasoning behind Erinn being unjustified... I guess it's not so much being unjustified as it is being far too surprising. I don't think we've been given reasons as to why jurors would vote for her. There don't seem to be those dangling threads to the jury questioning. With Brendan's ouster, we hardly had any interaction between Erinn and Brendan. Tyson commented on Erinn way back in the beginning of the game, but since about episode 4, they really haven't said anything about each other. Especially nothing to make us believe Tyson would vote for Erinn (I can't even think of a mock question he would ask her). Sierra, I can finally see an Erinn connection. That scene where Erinn and Taj both say they won't vote for her could lead to some sort of jury questioning, ending favorably for either of the women. However, I think that was really just to explain the two stray votes in that one episode (it would've been VERY weird to the viewer to have two completely unexplained votes in one TC). To sum it up: Pre-merge, Erinn didn't interact with Timbira a whole lot, so there aren't very many connections to be made premerge. Post-merge, almost all of Erinn's interactions have been mediated through JT/Stephen. She doesn't seem to have enough personal relationships to be our winner. Again, I could be very wrong. I'm not sure of anything I say. ETA: Completely unrelated note, consider giving Taj an OTTPP for this episode. I don't think the editors could have thrown her more P. Stephen ? JT ? Taj ? Coach ? Amber got some anti-Rob votes. Danni got some anti-Steph votes. Bob got some anti-Sugar votes. Sandra got some anti-Lill votes. Hatch got some anti-Kelly votes. Ethan got some anti-Kim votes. Vee got some anti-Neleh votes. Tom got some anti-Katie votes. Chris got some anti-Twila votes. Brian got some anti-Clay votes.

If she somehow makes it to the end with Coach, then I definitely think she's our winner. Coach has been an editorial punching bag, so it's clear if he makes it to the end he most likely gets 0 votes. The only problem I see with that theory is that Stephen/JT/Taj have all been given largely positive edits. So far, everyone in the game have discussed how great JT/Stephen are. Tyson, Brendan, Sierra and Debbie weren't really edited as vindictive. Although they were backstabbed by JT/Stephen, the fact was never pushed down our throats. Now, if Coach goes, then his vote will probably go to not-JT, but he really seems to be the only one so far. I don't think we'd get the "everyone roll over for JT/Stephen" edit we're getting if the final vote ended up being anti-JT/Stephen.

Plus, for someone who was supposed to be voted out after Candace and made it all the way to the final 2, she did something right. I'd strongly consider giving her the win just for that. She was moreso an underdog than Jalapao.

Posts: 307 (05/08/09 3:43 AM) Registered User Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	I agree with CL......I think the final 2 is JT/Stephen......while people on here think the duo is being shoved down our throats....there is a reason for that (and it is not all about cockiness), it is to explain how they make it to the final 2......While I think Stephen is very bright and the mastermind between the two, I think JT will pull off the win....... What has been shoved down our throats is how much everyone loves JT......again, this episode with Debbie wanting to give JT immunity at F3....she says "I love you guys", yet it is JT she wants to give the idol to.....I have felt, since they first started the "I love JT" campaign, that it really hasn't been backed up......sure, he seems like a nice guy but really nothing special or out of the ordinary, yet everyone loves him......even Coach.....JT made a comment in this episode about how he doesn't really want to betray Coach but he will, and yes, Coach will vote for him to win in the end...... I think the jury will appreciate Stephen's efforts and will give him BIG kudos for being the awkward, gangly city kid who braves the wild and who does it really well, but the win will go to JT... in a very close vote......and to those who felt first impressions was the theme of this season, maybe so, but maybe it wasn't just about Sandy and Sierra's first impressions, it was the everyone loves JT first impression that becomes relevant to the endgame. If not, then why show it? They could have just edited him and Stephen as really strategic players.... There has been no talk of JT or Stephen turning on each other.......why? Maybe, because it doesn't happen.............

And lastly, she seems to be denied the really prime opportunities to explain her reasoning for the boot. Why can't Erinn's moral victory be in making F2? Her personal growth in handling the elements story parallels Stephen, just like her mistrustful attitude (ep/2) parallels his. And they are the most hidden pair. Sorry CL and FLF - Taj isn't making F3. 1) Taj's story postmerge is all P fluff about loving\missing her family, with zero strategy. I've never seen them edit a F2 loser like that. Why would Stephen want to face a lady that everyone handed the family visit too, rather than Timbira outcast Erinn? 2) Earlier Taj was edited as one of the "overconfident 3" in the Exile Alliance, which suggests a defeat similar to Brendan\Sierra. I notice that several who now favour Taj > Erinn were one-time supporters of the EA who over-invested in Brendan\Sierra. I know FLF used to think the EA was cool, but edgically the only cool one was Stephen.

It now appears that JT's immunity prowess is as typical Burnett-land irony as JT's apparent trustworthiness. Stephen is not only the winner, I tip that by the time this thing's done, the intent will be for him to be regarded in the top echelon of all Survivor winners.

Otherwise there'd be some hint about the error of throwing away their last chance to get him out. Yes, the Trust theme points to a JT blindside, as much as the Fang Sucks theme pointed to Crystal\Kenny going down in flames last season.

Maybe Stephen is the winner...that's what I like about this season.....it is not at all predictable.....the only thing you can count on is the blindsiding that is happening nearly every TC. However, if Stephen wins, I would not consider him one of the better Survivor winners ever........he just is smarter than the majority out there....which is not saying much, considering the Timbera players have been idiots for letting JT/Stephen and Taj take over control of the game..............

But look at the recaps -how many times has that Coach/JT handshake been reinforced? I think it extends beyond the exposition for each current episode and instead could be shifted to a promise from Stephen/Taj and JT to their victims. It's been too personalized for it not to connect directly to JT when answering a juror's question.

RW, Erinn is still viable edgically so please stop with the snarkiness towards any attempt at explaining her possible winn. Stephen may have a really good edgic edit, but so did Marcus. Warrior, Erinn's confessionals was just one example this past episode - Taj got more than one "confessional" as well. "We decided long ago that counting confessionals this way is the best way to measure visibility rather than using the 10 second rule." When did this happen ? I thought that the editing trend of untitled confessionals only started this season or last season.

I don't see a way for her to make the final 2, or who in the final 2 she can beat, but I am definitely noticing that she is being well-crafted by the editors. I wonder why?
