He's done a few things like this, and in his case it's not just sweetness, but good game play. although I think he is genuinely a thoughtful decent person too. He has not lucked his way through the game. That's bullshit. He's built strong alliances. And how often in this show have we seen anyone show the compassion he showed Taj when she was crying over something stupid, therefor cementing her loyalty. He's made all the right moves, is thinking very clearly, and hasn't made any enemies that we've seen.
He's humble in confessional, not once have we seen him do that boring, nauseating, "I'm so incredible. I have the check in my hand" bullshit even though he IS the Mastermind if there is one this season.
And no he's not Todd2. He's much more subtle than Todd.
He did luck out a little not ending up on the moron tribe though.
