Now, maybe i could buy a subtle shift in fate/destiny where season 6 is us reliving seasons 1-4 in slightly different ways, retelling it with major changes...but i doubt it, it would still make everything we saw the first 4 seasons completely pointless.

Look for another game-changing finale. Based on the rumors we're hearing about what happens, you may find yourself wondering how they could still even do the same show after this. Source: EW That's sinister.... The source is Kristen (fwiw) but this is what leads me and probably Hostile, too, into thinking there will be an explosion and it does change something. What would make us wonder how they could do the same show? I'm not convinced Daniel's plan works as in uncrashing the plane and such, but causes a different type of "incident". This spoiler could also just be an overly dramatic way of saying the show wouldn't be the same without _______ - the character who dies in the finale.

Kate saving Ben's life was course correction (please note he said this while in discussion of something else) 3. we should be hearing from Bernard and Rose soon (he sounded as if it was in this week episode, but wasn't)

Who's to say that Jack and co. and Ben and co. aren't going back to BC? Who's to say we'll even see the future (07-08) ever again? If we don't, we'll never see how seasons 1-4 were changed. One thing I remember seeing there was a flight schedule pertaining to the airline of Flight 815. I am sure that schedule showed Flight 815 arriving in LA on schedule. I found very confusing at the time but then forgot about it. Does anybody else remember this web site and the schedule???

I really don't believe everything will be undone, but a cliffhanger like that would definitely make us THINK the plane was uncrashed. (I love using that word.. lol) The writers are good enough to go from there to season 6 where we realize nothing really did change. They have come up with some bizarre shit already so why not?

I'm wondering if the bomb goes off, future changes, and that's the reason why Jacob is visiting the losties. He's going around trying to get them to where they need to be, on the island. Obviously without the swan station won't crash their plane. So they have to get on the island circa 2004 somehow... If the island can heal people, maybe it can heal itself. Maybe it can flash itself to another time? Just a thought... It's possible Jack/Sayid/Alpert/Hawking cause the incident w/jughead and that's always what happened... I just doubt it. Remember, this type of "game changer" and "will leave the veiwers wondering how the show can continue" talk was the exact same back when the Flash Forward was introduced in Through the Looking Glass. I'm trying to think along those lines. The only thing I can think of at this point...

Faraday comes back with a plan to blow-up the bomb, gets shot by his mom, and gets Dharma to evacuate. Clearly, that's all the same as it always was. So I don't see how Jack and crew could be doing anything "new". I'm assuming they've done this all before and, well, we've seen how things turned out. Dharma survives "The Incident", Ben rejoins them, years later, the Purge, the pit of bodies, etc. etc. etc. I'm pretty sure Horace hasn't built Jacob's cabin yet, which, I don't know, to me seems a key element. Jacob's not on the Island yet, I guess. Or, perhaps while Locke in the future is trying to kill Jacob, Jack in the past is going to create him. Could be what Locke's "correcting." So... things staying the same? Not much of a game-changer... unless the consequences are shown: Jack, Sawyer, Juliet, Kate, Sayid, Hurley, Miles, Jin, all die in the blast or survive and get old. I'm thinking they're shown being flashed by the blast, and Alpert assumes they died, but maybe it just shunts them back to 2008. Also, I think the Island survives the bomb because we've seen that a release of the exotic energy causes implosions, not explosions. So an H-bomb explosion meeting an exotic energy implosion could sorta cancel each other out. There's be a fringe of damage, sure, probably what ends up being called "The Incident".
