I remember those "go see Cal" ads... but it never sounded like "pussy cow" to me.
of course, I still maintain that John Lennon sings, "hold you in his armchair" in "come together".

Felicia-- I just did! saw your earlier email. That cloud "birdie" is hilarious.

just curious about a scene i saw from the recap...
Locke goes to visit Hugo to ask him to come back to the island with him...Hugo goes crazy saying no way man and tells him to leave. Why does he act like that? Up until then weve seen Hugo get told by Charlie he needs to go back...there are scenes with Hugo yelling at Jack that they need to go back...he seems to be all about that idea. Then suddenly not? |

I think he was just freaked out by Locke actually being there. He'd become accustomed to "ghosts" of people from the island visiting him, but
Locke having actually made it off the island to visit him took him by surprise.

Nevermind, I thought you asked about when Ben shows up at Hurley's house. |

How delightfully random. Grew up in Houston, TX and thought "Go See Cal" was "pussycow" for the longest.

After all, Hugo had been through alot with Locke on the island..following him around, going to Jacobs cabin, seeing appiritions....Locke actually being there shouldnt have freaked him out that much. In fact, it should have verified what he had been telling the 06 all along...that they never should have left and they need to go back. Suddenly Hugo doesnt want to go back? Seems weird. Oh, and i had thought the "Go see Cal" commercial said "pussy cow" for a long time too :) I think the fact that the commercial often had a live cow in the car lot helped give that impression. |

"Maybe. Just seems out of character. " Yeah, they do that sometimes on this show .. one of my pet peeves actually. |

Actually...i dont think it happens much on the show.
Ive seen people argue times when they think someone is acting weird or out of character...but ive always found it very much withing character :) you can always explain it. This is the one time i cant justify the complete 180 |

He does freak out when he realizes Locke is working for Widmore. Abbadon did come and talk to Hurley earlier, and freaked him out pretty solidly then. To have
Locke mention that Abbandon was his back-up can;t have been fun for Hurley.
Also, as mentioned earlier, he freaks out when he realizes that Locke isn't a ghost/mirage. |

Never said everyone feels that way, in fact, i said alot of people have had problems with character motivation in episodes :P
Im just saying before, i, personally...just me...not you...always understood their motivation. I get why Locke acted the way he did in Season 2 when he didnt act that way in season 1, etc. thefrenchchick is taking my spot on this one though, and actually does have the best explanation to Hugo's behavior :) |

I actually didn't think it was that out of character; I just like messing with phantomkp :P.
