Anoop's time is up. I don't think any Anoop fan here is surprised that he's booted, just saddened over the possibilities and the loss of future performances. But like James said, there is also some relief that Anoop doesn't have to be browbeaten every week.
This show doesn't know what to do with an Indian guy who breaks all stereotypes by being a technically accomplished singer of R&B tunes - the show and its audience are more comfortable with stereotypes like That Cute Guy, That Fat Girl That Becomes The Forerunner Fodder, The Black Diva, the Bizarre-looking Heartthrob, The Edgy Girl With The Pink Hair, etc. Give him someone like Anoop and they were like, "Uh? Wud? Fratboy! Boring! Dull! Boring! Wud? Wud?"
So yeah, goodbye Anoop. The parting is sad, but not too unexpected. See you at the finale. <3
