Will the nastiness Coach and Tyson have been spewing at her signal the start of her playing the game hardcore? Is she about to get a redeeming arc?

I keep going back to Jeff harping on First Impressions and Can You Change a First Impression. Is Sierra our winner? She certainly hasn't been edited that
way so far...and yet....part of me can't get it out of the back of my mind.

wether she wins or not, for some reason i see her in the final 2, more likely 1st runner-up.....

I have no idea how well she does, but Sierra has been "set free" by Brendan's untimely departure. She was "coddled" by being a rather passive member of the Exile Alliance, and now she has been forced out of the nest, to use Coach's own metaphor. According to the omiscient Coach's earlier words, that should enable her to do great things. It'll be interesting to see if this theme is developed any further. |

I agree that Sierra, free of Brendan, has opportunities to cut a deal, but the problem is that even still, she can't win should she make the final two
unless she faces Erinn. I think Erinn talking in the TC vote on the Insider clip about looking forward to writing down Sierra's name many times more shows
that those two aren't going to become a power duo; instead, it's going to be her, Erinn, and the trio of Debbie, Coach, and Tyson all making individual
side deals with the Jalapao three. In the end, Coach's self-righteousness about wanting to make sure "undeserving" players (which is to say any
woman who doesn't fawn over him) don't make the endgame will probably be what locks a final two of Stephen and JT or possibly Stephen and Taj. It does
not take a brilliant strategist to realize the best move for the Jalapao three is to keep splintering those Timbira subgroups until you have a motley crew that
will refuse on principle to team up for a counteralliance. Would Coach, truly, be able to bring himself to team up with Erinn and Sierra? No, it goes against
his stupid little code of honor. But if the Jalapao three keep going the way they are, and throw one of the outsiders like Sierra or Erinn a bone by offering
her fourth place, they can pick off the Timbira pretty easily.

to buy herself a little time by allowing herself to be used as a pawn by the three Jalapao to take out Tyson, she's not going to last long. Why
does everyone hate her so much? She's getting that Amanda-like edit where she must be doing something to piss everyone off but as a viewing
audience I can't figure out what it must be."

Let us not forget the edit that Sugar got. Seemed that nobody on the tribes liked her at all, with the exception of Bob. She took peoples bags and cut them up to make herself outfits, she never did any work, etc. etc. ... yet it was never shown to us. To us she was portrayed as all cutesy, sweetness and @*$+% with a bit of sass and gumption thrown in. AND she made it to the end. If Tyson is taken out then this week then the numbers all change. Erinn has been waiting for the moment she could jettison her tribe once and for all, Sierra will finally realize that Coach doesn't want to see her fly, he wants her to flop and Debbi is.... well apparently Debbi is a non-entity this season. Oh, I think Sierra's arc, now that I've seen the commercials for the week, is this: Sierra almost gets voted out day one. Everyone turns on her.
She wins a crucial immunity challenge, saves her ass, and the crude jackass Tyson gets ousted instead. Perhaps she will outlast Erinn. I think the
Sierra-Sugar comparison is pretty good... in that Sierra is supposed to be a sympathetic character to us, in that she's opposite the designated villains
Coach and Tyson, and she can get the Plucky Heroine edit. Plug in Coach as Randy and Tyson as Corinne, and there you go. (Tyson and Corinne are shockingly
similar, come to think of it...) If you have a fight between two different groups of people that kind of suck, you end up with that elbow-throwing bitchfest
like we had on TAR tonight.

i'm new here but from this thread alone i'm really impressed by the amount of thought you guys put into your posts. they've been fun to read,
thanks all.
i thought that sierra would go next and then the jalapao 3 would team up with erinn to send tyson home, but based on what some other people have said and the previews for next week, now i'm wondering if sierra wins the immunity and then teams up with erinn, taj, steve and JT to boot tyson this week. they both make sense to me...i guess i'll just wait and see. |

If Sierra does win immunity this week, and it looks like she does, I will be so disappointed if Taj, JT and Stephen don't get with Sierra and Erinn to take
out Tyson. Even if Tyson has immunity again, they need to take out Coach or Debbie. I find Tyson hysterical, but the man is such a challenge threat, and
strategic, so I would lose respect for T, J & S of they aren't forward thinking enough to get him out of there.
In any case, short of an immunity run, I just don't see Sierra making it to F2. At this point I would love to see JT and Stephen in the F2, due to their bonding even though they are so different. It's a good story and I think the voting could go either way. Or Taj with Coach. Coach being taken down by a woman would be great, because I don't think he has been shown to have much regard for women. |

{Tyson and Corinne are shockingly similar, come to think of it...) I totally, respectfully disagree with that statement. Coach and Corrine I could see. lol |

I think Tyson has a mean side, but he was being more frank than mean with Sierra. I'm not so sure he's right on his assesment however. He's
funny as hell and what we've seen all along is the real Tyson and he hasn't changed that much. I think Adam had a meaner side to be honest.

Tyson is being set up for the big fall... Sierra will win immnuity and he will go home.
He is way to over confidant and counts her out too soon. Always a bad move on survivor, that stuipd piece of dragon dung is going to be behind your BOOT. Sierra wins...coach scrambles and targets erinn... but erinn has made enroads and Tyson made people angry with being mean for no reason, They all agreed to vote out Sierra...why rub her face in and be mean. This will make Taj and JT angry. So along comes erinn and it's buh bye Tyson the immunity threat. YES...I too see the first impressions thing playing to the end. Sierra will be F4. She will outlast all the Timbiras...the one who they wanted out first stayed the longest. I don't see her winning. I think this is JT's. Stephen shoot himself with the Brandon move. Tyson,Caoch and Brandon will all vote JT over Stephen. Stephen will only relize this too late. DEBBIE?? ZOEv2 ala sandra NOthing nada nill.... why have people on htis show and not show them speaking etc... |

I could definitely see "super nice guy JT" not being impressed at all with Tyson telling Sierra she's too stupid, and deciding maybe he
doesn't want to be aligned with someone like that after all. Plus, he seems like the type of guy who could possibly be swayed by her t.ears.

Plus, he seems like the type of guy who could possibly be swayed by her t.ears.oh yeah, I believe he turely is just a "good ole boy". (might be our next Ethan win...But will Stephen turn into the game master and ax out JT?) JT just wants to see the good in people etc... But he has proven to a bit of game (not telling the whole truth about the alliance and the II idol) I loved the snarky Tyson, but he's starting to go down in my book...heading the way of Corrine. Being mean just to be mean to someone is different than lying in the game or being sneaky or snide or even caustic. Randy was caustic, Corrine was just mean. Coach is just plain ole crazy...and not fun Crazy like the crazy Shane. Shane was funny, Coach is just swarmy! |

I think Erinn has a good shot of outlasting Sierra. She got a lot of attention in the ep.1 opening segment (even though she wasn't voted off the hike), she
got tried into the first impressions and trust themes. Even though she hasn't done much, her edit seems to promise a big role in something or her going
far. I'd bet that she outlasts Tyson and Coach anyway. And isn't Debbie a bigger physical and popularity threat?
Poor Debbie has been edited as the UTR Stepford Wife of Tyson and Coach. I could see her making F4 with that edit as a coattail rider if Timbira prevailed, but not as the last Timbira standing. There is one wildcard - sickness or injury. Wasn't it hinted in some Probst interview that a player gets "destroyed" by weather conditions in Exile? |

Do JT and/or Stephen genuinely like Ben and/or Tyson? Or just they're fine existing with them, and are perfectly happy to help them destroy their own
tribe?

I've been thinking our F2 will be Erinn and Sierra (with Sierra as winner). To have the two 'useless and weak' women at the end after all
Coach's rantings about making this a season of strength....words can't describe how delicious that would be.
Besides, we could then watch Coach's head explode at FTC. |

birdlady wrote:Well the second bit is a definite even if they do like them. lol I think they like Tyson at the moment. When JT talked about Tyson in the merge episode he was all for forgetting about smack being talked in challenges because they were living together now. Stephen told Tyson last episode that his win was poetic or something and then they had their big cuddle. I'm not sure about Coach. Has Stephen even talked about him? I don't think he's been shown talking to him either. |

There's been some stuff in the Insider videos that seems like they like Coach as well.
