Coach is keeping this season alive. Erinn is probably going to ruin it by joining Jalapao.

Season 1: Sean
Season 2: Kimmi if anyone Season 3: Brandon Season 4: Gabe (yeah step aside for someone who is there to play the game) Season 5: Jan Season 6: Jenna Season 7: Lill Season 8: Boston Rob Season 9: no one really Season 10: Caryn Season 11: StepheMe Season 12: everyone for keeping Aras, yeah he's only there because you wouldn't vote him off so he could compete with Terry, so you reward you little pawn? Season 13: Flicka (good thing she didn't make it far or she would've been like Sugar) Season 14: Dreamz Season 15: Denise or Amanda Season 16: Chet, Kathy, Erik maybe Season 17: Sugar |

Sugar is like Lill - a character who redeemed herself in the last two episodes by putting the smackdown on an alliance I disliked. Crystal and Kenny, like
Burton and Fairplay, were arrogent sobs who benfitted from unfair twists (outcasts, two switches). Bob and Sandra weren't the greatest winners, but at
least were satisfying surrogates for their allies.
So the all-time nominees in this ctategory are: S3 Brandon - for voting off Kelly G and setting the stage for Africa to become a dull pagonging. S8 Lex - for sabotaging your tribe, being a bitter juror, and earning the nickname Twatwaffle. S13 Jonathan - for destroying Candice and Parvati's game (along with your own), turning your season into a one-sided pagonging, and being an obnoxious camera hog. S14 Dreamz - for voting off Michelle and betraying Yau-man, giving your season an ugly racist ending. Can't give it to Dreamz - Fiji sucked too bad already to be ruined, and his endgame put an end to affirmative action casting. Cant give it to Lex - Colby and Ethan weren't that entertaining, and in saving Amber he saved the Romber romance which was the one bright spot in ASS endgame. Jopnathan, you'd win - except Yul was a great winner, seeing you get pwned by the Raro kids was fun. and S13 was the set-up for a deliciously satisfying sequel in Micronesia. So to paraphrase Ethan's - it's YOU Brandon, you did more to ruin a season than any other Survivor, ever! You killed off the only smart strategic young female in the first 5 seasons, and it killed your own game.

oh shut the fuck up craig you sound like a fucking moron!, how was bob a surrogate of his allies?....maybe in your warped fanfic because the onions did not
even care for bob you dumb assmunch. he was more loyal to them, than they to he, they would have voted for a fucking tree branch if it was optional to win,
simply because they were bitter and hated fang collectively as a group.

Some of you are totally missing the point. Someone who ruined a season does not necessairly = someone you hate. I despise Coach, but he's the one who's
keeping Tocantins afloat. The second he's gone, the season will be on life support.

Joe & The Exile Alliance ruined this season for me. I like Joe, I guess, but turning on Spencer, and convincing Sydney to do so also, eventually lead to
her boot. And Spencer and Sydney were my favorites on Jalapao. And thanks to the exile alliance which did fucking nothing, both of them were pretty much
ignored during the show.
And Brandon ruined Africa for being a friggen idiot. Oh, and Jonathan ruined Cook Islands for contributing to a) his own boot, b) the downfall of the amazing Raro Brats <3, and c) the Aitu4 prevailing. I'd say Jonathan overall did the most to ruin a season for me. |

I'm going off of my feelings at the time when watching and crying...
Survivor: Sean. Borneo is pretty damn perfect, but he was the one character that was never as dynamic; Kelly was another one that I could take or leave. But Sean being saved in episode 11 over Colleen was a major let down to our viewing parties back then. If Colleen didn't win as the comeback kid, then Rich winning made it epic (JR Ewing is the devil type of thing). Either Colleen leap frogging to the end, and then no more sequels to this obviously scripted summer drama, or at least making the final four of the best personalities the show has ever seen -Rich, Colleen, Rudy and Susan. Outback: Amber! Again, at the time, we were screaming at our TVs, past votes!!! C'mon Rodger and Lis. Very depressing, especially when everyone was watching and talking about this thing. Africa: Kim Powers. Up until episode nine, loved her. Thought she was possibly the smartest player ever- knowing when to keep quiet and when to make a move. thought she and Brandon were plotting each and every little angle. Brandon, we had all written off as an episode two or three boot, so were always surprised when he made it through and was actually making big moves -studying the book at night, whispering in Lex's ear that made the whole evening of the numbers possible in the first place. But it was the depression of watching Teresa/Frank/KimP and Brandon fracture at final eight over the inept Borans that made us think this Survivor show just ain't working and yet another year of one team wiping out another. Marquesas: Neleh. Figures after giving up on Colleen, Lis, and KimP with another round of Lis/Rodger in Paschal and Neleh, that this character type finally makes final two. But by then, I just felt she was playing a part, and Kathy was so realized as a character- and Neleh was willing to bend over to go to the end with Paschal, so why not Kathy. C'mon, throw the woman who did so much for you a bone!-you're going to lose anyway. Thailand: No one. Because quite frankly, ho hum. What are the chances we're going to get another upset like the fantastic Marquesas season, and even then we had the dull final two and not Sean and Kathy. How are you going to top Boston Rob's fun? it's been over two years and Colleen can't be recaptured. This whole season looks gray and brown and dull compared to the lush greens and turquoise of Marquesas. Amazon: All right, hungry for more Survivor and this one looks fun! No one really ruined it for me. probably Shawna, who I felt was fun and self deprecating and love the whole sick thing and wanting to go, and the not wanting to be bullied by her alliance- but the rebound in a girly girl way was a let-down. The trio siren tag team of Shawna/Heidi/Jenna would have been more fun for an Amazon theme. Pearl islands: PIs was great, but the problem of it was it was never on my list of much watch at the time because of the friggin All-stars. it was like yeah, but I can't wait for All-stars. We'd been talking about it for over two and a half years. So even with the best episodes, it was always overshadowed for me with the anticipation of seeing Kathy, Richard, Colleen, Jerri and Colby again. And also, I think like Marquesas, only half of the cast was fantastic -but that's okay. Also, we have here the beginning of really overpimping characters instead of discovering it. RUPERT love was shoved down our throats, and it bugged me. Even continuing onto All-stars. it was like having all these favorite players eradicated and out of the blue this person would be the mascot of the show for the next zillion years. ROAR indeed. *Also Fairplay bugged me for being too media whorish at the beginning -but by the end gave him his due. Also, this was the most satisfying winner for me just from a dramatic standing. Only season in which someone i was rooting for won. All-stars. This one is easy -Colleen! I applaud her decision for not going on, and probably makes her saner and cooler than all the other players with that whole, "thanks, but no thanks -I think your show is just not healthy." But come on! remember Jerri's, "I adore you" to Lex? Well, multiply that by seventeen for Colleen. She's just have to show up, take a nap, give some sarcastic confessionals and have everyone kissing her ass for a cakewalk to the end. Depreiving us of Tina's hypocrisy of just knowing "we're so much alike, Colleen and I want someone like you to wiiiin," Jerri's media whoring over her, "We're BFFs 'Leen! Wait, cheat this way to the camera..."; Rob C creaming his pants; Colby knowing he and she are practically the homecoming king and queen for Burnett; Kathy and her plotting and laughing; Lex's "we're the cool alliance.."; and going head to head again with Hatch! Nothing was ever better than the Colleen/Richard baiting. Not to mention ROAR and "play fair" union. For the actual show, too much Rupert pimping, and loved Boston Rob's deviousness in Marquesas and when he was voted off his whole "no hard feelings" attitude, but here it was just mean and not entertaining. And if I'm going to watch a romance on TV, you better bring the Hepburn and Tracy or Agent Cooper and Audrey Horne. This was like being in high school and tooling around crammed in the backseat on the way to a TastEfreeze with two lame-Os flirting. Vana: Hmm, none -just Chris not choosing Eliza in the final four. becuase again, I like the underdog story and Chris and Eliza would have been this personafied. Palau: I hate this season. I know everyone loves it, but it was just so snoozefest induced. Way too many people and I just didn't care. Gaut: Another one I just didn't care about. And again, too much Rupert pimping with Stephenie. Exhile: Danielle. Here we get to a character that looks like so many other characters of late -and just not good television. Just throw that fire challenge so we can get Cirie the win please. This was the Cirie season for me, just in awe and tuning in to see what she would do next. Cook: Again, I didn't care. Too many characters. probably would have liked the Flicka/CB union to have worked together in a misfit alliance. Only tuned in to see Ozzy's swimming abilities. Fiji: Good lord, the whole season looks like mud. Only Yau Man's exhuberance is giving me a smile. Yup, sure enough he lasts long enough to keep me watching only to once again give me a finals of who cares. Sandra looks like a fluke. China: Amanda. Oh good, Danielle's back and she's even more boring. I'm sure she's lovely and a nice person, but like Amber, I don't need that on my TV -something else needs to be brought to the table to make you dynamic. Luckily, Courtney as the anti-Survivor brought it in spades. Loved the Todd/Courtney finals and Amanda was good for the choking before the jury bit- albeit completely unintentional. FvF: Ugh! These fans (aside from Kathy) were just dull, dull, dull. If they're going to be cast alongside strong characters from the past, make it equal in the insane department. And Amanda again, really? Sure, she's a clever player but that's good for a poker game, not a televised event. Courtney turning it down is the person who ruined the season for me. And probably Fairplay's quitting in episode one. Also, James is a little too low keyed for my taste. Again, I'm sure a lovely person to grab a drink with, but we need a pulse on a tv show -his dad's one comment outshone him. Say what you want about Parvarti, but she knows how to game, and she knows how to work the camera. Also, hated to see Eliza be treated like a chump. Gabon: Loved this season. I'm done with good games and strategy. it's been over seven years, who cares anymore. So Sugar spinning these people in the most dumbfounding ridiculous way was the most fun I've had in years. The only thing I cringed at was the casting of someone like Kelly and the arguement that the internet is BAD for honing someone's speakig skills. (OMG, whatev... etc). But i dug this season a lot -Sugar, Crystal, Kenny, Randy, Corrine, Ace -all could have been on Outback or Borneo. great casting. This Season -I know it starts with a T: Don't know. Kind of feeling it, but the editing is a little too lopsided. Where's Debbie, Erinn and Sierra? The Coach/JT overboard editing is a little too Rupert for my taste. |

CL, can you please explain what happened in Africa with Brandon voting for Kelly G in episode 8? What was the rationale?
|
|||
colleenlover |

he said he thought Kelly was smarter and sneakier, tougher competition, and in voting for her in his confessional said he owed her one for screwing over him,
Lindsey and Kim P by ratting out their plan to Lex and Tom.
And then said they can easily take out Lex or Tom next round with the past votes and Samburu can be the fial four. Basically, Brandon did the setup to Lex to even make the coup possible -otherwise, Frank probably would have gone. Guess Brandon just pegged Kelly as his biggest competition in the brains department, which is true. Just have no idea why he didn't give Teresa/KimP/Frank the heads up prior. I did talk to Frank the night before the ASS finale, and yes he, Brandan and Teresa understood- he and Brandon talked about how to do this on the movie date -but lil Kim was too upset and did not trust Brandon at all. |
