In that promo photo it looks like the Dharma folks in the background are scampering around trying to evacuate.

I love Lost! But I am still wondering why Miles was blackmailing Ben for $3.2 million, and why/how Ben had that much money on
the island? - Sara
MATT: You will get the answer to at least the first half of your question in this week's Miles-centric episode, "Some Like It Hoth" - when a dollar amount other than $3.2 mil is brought up. I'm hearing that in the subsequent episode, airing April 29, the long-MIA Daniel Faraday will demonstrate just how well he knows the Island. (Hint: They are much more than Facebook friends.) Source: TV Guide Will the real Dr. Pierre Chang please stand up? Since Lost's second season, Dr. Chang has repeatedly popped up in Dharma films under the pseudonyms of Dr. Marvin Candle (host of the Swan station film), Dr. Mark Wickmund (the Pearl station) and Dr. Edgar Halliwax (transporting bunnies in the Orchid station). Finally, the mysterious scientist will get a solid run in this season's remaining episodes. "You'll learn he's one of the Dharma leaders-but not the only one," teases Cambodian native François Chau (Chang). The actor, 49, just wrapped two months of filming in Hawaii and says, "It's the first time I actually got to meet the other cast members." More about what's going on in all the stations will be revealed. "They involve experiments on such things as electromagnetism and polar bears…for the betterment of mankind," François says. (Doesn't that make you feel better?) In the May 13 finale, viewers will witness Chang's role in "the Incident," the catastrophic event that could happen again if the Swan station button isn't pushed every 108 minutes. It might also have something to do with another reveal-why Dr. Candle (but not any of his other incarnations) appears with a prosthetic arm. Uh-oh. You know that can't be good! I wonder if he's been cloned or something. |

I just think that video was filmed later than the others, after he lost his arm. But that's rather mundane for Lost, so I'm probably wrong, lol.

I wonder if they had a different orientation film before the Incident, when the Swan was used for the E-M experiments.
Rewatching the Swan video, it's interesting how Candle stresses that using the computer to contact the outside world could lead to another Incident. So, I guess one of our Losties tries to reach out and touch someone and BOOM! Candle loses his arm in the process. |

Who would they try to contact using a computer, though? Not a whole lot of people had email back in 77. |

BTW, this was probably posted pages back in this thread, but The ODI has a set report with photos of them shooting the scene of Miles being snatched at the
taco stand. In the photos, there's what look way too much like a Dharma Swan patch visible on one guy's shoulder. So, does that mean that Ilana, Bram
and the rest of that crew work for the re-constituted Dharma Initiative?

I was thinking they were "others".

I think they are Dharma and they act as though their motives are pure. They were not going to pay Miles anything as he should want to be with them to do the
right thing, they really were short on details. So they are still up and running and I want those continuing food drops explained. Do we think Hawking works for
them and told them about the flight or did they just figure it out?

Oh shit... I think just figured out what next weeks episode is.
during the promo for the "clip" show, the narrator says we'll see the story of the Oceanic 6 from a whole new perspective... And the clip had a picture of the smoke monster. This could jive with Kristin saying we'll get a "smokey flashback." Wisc- Yeah, I thought I saw those pics before (with Dharma logo's) but, but I didn't see them in the eppy. I'm still placing bets that Hawking is involved with those two. We know she's in the finale... |

Hostile6 wrote:Betcha if we get any look at them from tonight's scenes, it'll be a very, very brief flash, kind of like the DI logo on that shark at the beginning of S2. That is, if TPTB didn't carefully edit them out altogether, with the intention of revealing them later this season by revisiting that particular incident. |

What's in the case? | ||
He said he is not allowed to say what is inside it, or who the contents are for...Sounds like Pulp Fiction - and we never found out what was in that case.:) |

"WHAT'S TO COME We have to wait two weeks for a new episode. Argh! Doubleplusungood. Howevah, they are going to make it up to us "The Variable," about which we are hearing very good things. Look for Mrs. Hawking explain stuff like her relationship with Charles Widmore and for Daniel to explain some of the mysteries of the Island (please review chapters 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42 in your psychics physics textbook in preparation). And oh yeah, the major death is bearing down on us. Next week, some people we used to trust implicitly make some (more) very bad decisions and in the end, it's curtains for someone we love. Darn you, Lost! Darn you to heck!" Source: E!Online |

I hate hearing "curtains for someone we love". At this point, I honestly don't have a clue who's going to bite it, but for some reason I'm starting to lean toward Desmond and I don't know why. |
