I remember Cook Islands and Fiji pretty well actually. I'd say Africa is most forgettable. I do remember Robb choking Clay, and the grinding incident, and the fake merge of course. Exile Island is notable for being the first season with a horse in the cast, plus Cirie's 3-2-1. Africa is kind of just a wash for me. Someone did have a good point a couple pages back about Jan getting less hate than Scout. That shows Thailand was pretty forgettable. Jan deserves much more hatred than she gets. Africa and Thailand of older ones - but at least they had unique locations and some unique characters. S12 - only good things were Cirie's gameplay and Danielle looking hot in her bikini. S14 - lacklustre except for Yau\Dreamz truck betrayal Aras and Earl - two most boring winners ever, personality and gamewise.

Posts: 346 (04/12/09 1:44 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	Because Fiji and Thailand are so infamously bad yet had their moments (Edgardo Blindside, Yau/Dreamz Deal, Brian Heidik as Puppet Master, Grindgate), they aren't the most forgettable seasons. But they are probably the worst after Palau. I'd say the most forgetabble season is probably Marquesas or Guatemala. Marquesas had a top notch final eight which included the likes of....ZOE! TAMMY! THE GENERAL! NELEH! PASCHAL! AND VECEPIA! What a boring fucking group minus Kathy and Sean. Guatemala had probably the most boring final two episodes of ANY SEASON. At least with Marquesas, it was unpredictable and the last two episodes were pretty great compared to the Rotu 4 Pagonging. I mean honestly, who wants to watch a final five of Danni, Lydia, Rafe, Cindy, and Stephenie? vomit Other than Stephenie, the four most memorable characters of the season were booted in the episodes leading up to the final five. What a boring finish with the most underedited winner of all time. Before Danni, I was like...what the fuck were the editors thinking when Amber and Vecepia won. But Danni brought it to a whole other level. We saw her in Episode 1 and in Episodes 11/12/13. Pathetic. Now I am sure it's not cause Danni was a boring personality, or maybe it was because of Stephenie making it to the final two as well, but the editors really fucked up that season. So, I'd have to give the crown to Guatemala as most forgetable season. And that's probably why it wasn't repped on Fans vs. Favorites.

Yeah, Casaya being dysfunctional was cool, but the post-merge was so boring. Fun watching Cirie, but she was better in every way in Micronesia. EI is just your standard pagonging season and I don't get what's so great about it.

And before you say "Sally was boring! Austin was boring!" Yes, they were definitely outshined by other people, but you can't even compare them to the likes of Sundra, Rebecca, Jeff Wilson etc. I know the gameplay was rather boring, but the characters made up for it. Maybe I'm just too old fashion but to me Chracter development is much more important than gameplay from an entertainment point of view.

Ruth Marie? Bobby? Dan? Nick? Yeah, EI was better than quite a few other post ASS seasons in terms of character development, but it was the first to completely ignore some of the castaways. Guatemala had the string of invisible girls, but EI followed Palau as a season that shafted early boots. That's ridiculous, especially since it was in a 16 person season. I know the gameplay was rather boring, but the characters made up for it. Big red ecks--and it's in the works. ;) I'm thinking of turning the Outback one into a revolving "Let's talk about an old season" thread as the discussion starts dying down. Anyway, I think a lot of people are mixing up "forgettable" with "I didn't like this season." Africa's out of the running purely for the first swap. I like Panama but I do think it's pretty overrated. The presence of Cirie alone inflates it (no pun intended) for most people, and Shane is significantly less fun once you realize what a camera whore he was. People will refuse to admit or at least consider this just on principle, but Terry might be the best character of the season. Cirie may have sparked more discussion, but it was mostly just fan wars. And before you say "Sally was boring! Austin was boring!" The thing is, Austin really wasn't boring. He's forgotten because he looks like your generic young white guy and was voted out around the typical generic young white guy early merge boot, but he had some great sound bytes. Aras and Nick though, definitely pretty bland.

Sally was boring but not by Sundra/Becky/Cassandra/Danielle D./Amanda (China) standards. We at least got to know her. The only letdowns on Exile Island were Nick and Misty (and to an extent Danielle) Everyone else was at least a visible presence for their time on the island. Exile Island is probably one of the top five seasons of all time in my book.
