Unexpectedly GRRREAT episode! | ||
|
Boy o boy! Imagine my surprise when this episode REALLY ramped things up instead of letting everyone down with the obvious Joe boot coming a mile or an episode
away.
Joe "I was blindsided by nature" means that--This is ANOTHER one of JP's epic # of blindsides this season? He's counting every thing. Even the raindrops...as blindsides... And WHOOO is the owl supposed to represent? Taj? Stephen? Who has glasses and is always watching, watching, watching? Cirie? No what she's not on this season. Although she SEEMS to be... Brendan was keeping everything on the down low with the other CTA-ers and just letting the whole thing play out much to his great amusement.... He got the sneaky, snakey liar development this episode...And SUDDENLY we're supposed to like Coach....NOT ME! That "O Fortuna! Deus Luna" moment in the water with Coach was HII-larious! Another Golden Survivor moment...that I immediately wanted to blot out of my mind. Coach is still UGH in my book! You can't reconstitute a season's-long negative edit in one episode, SEG! Brendan was laid back and enjoying himself immensely, I thought. Keeping everything quiet until he could see where everyone landed... The only two we were show constantly, in a sympathetic light, were the JollyPows, JT and Stephen. JT was at risk and we're supposed to be rooting for him NOT to go...Stephen, interestingly, though, was included in EVERY alliance we were shown. The CTA, his 3way with JT & Taj, and Roach's ALL-HE-MEN alliance of STEEL, which is Roach, Tyson, JT and Stephen... We're supposed to want Timbira to go down the way we were supposed to want that OTHER alliance(can't remember the Tribal name) in Cook Islands vs. the Aitu Four that contained Yul, Ozzy, Becky and Sundra. And THEY won! And Yul won the game! I kept thinking of Yul all the way through the show tonight. It's like Yul's edit and quotes kept popping into my head. Vis a vis the totem pole endurance, which I think Yul won(?), he said, "It depends on how big your feet are." And Tyson, I always thought, had the biggest feet. And Tyson wins --- a completely useless II....LOLOLOL... And with Roach V. Brendan set up in the "Next Week" promo...It immediately says that ---Neither of them go.... And Tyson is seen predicting his own doom with that great conf. "It's bad that there's no Tribal Council this week, because in three days, the information will trickle down...and people will know..." that they're planning on blindsiding Brendan...And of course, that doesn't happen and Brendan plays the Idol and votes out --- wait for it--Big-Toed TYSON! Great episode! LOVED all the plotting! AND character development! Instead of all those stupid challenges! |

Wow! That was a great episode! Fascinating! It was fun to see all the wheeling and dealing going on between groups and individuals. What a letdown for
them to not be able to pull off their plans, and as Tyson (or Coach) said they don't know what's going to leak out.

I'll be surprised if Coach and Brenden are not the next two boots.

So is Brendan thinking he can wait out his Exile alliance while Jalapao gets whittled down by a few people? That's not going to work this season. Maybe in
the past, when teams stuck together it may have made sense, but not with this group. I can't even remember the last time a dominant team was so ready to
fragment themselves after the merge, although it probably has happened.

Problem with Coach / Tyson's plan is that it involved telling too many people. You KNOW that there is going to be a leak to Brenden because Taj will get
the chance to talk to them now. Coach and Tyson are going to be too busy trying to herd the cats to make sure they don't blab BUT it will come out.
Two things that may or may not have been mentioned. First, I noticed that JT LIED to Coach about Taj having the idol... Remember that Taj has promised JT that if he needs it, the idol is his... even though Stephen has it. More importantly is the convo between Stephen and JT where Stephen was saying he could be final four because he had the CTA and he had the Roach/Tyson promise. Because he was talking to JT, I am going to assume that he has told JT about the CTA. JT and Stephens big decision is who do they have a better chance against to get to final two/three? Well Duh.... If they stick with Taj, I think they know that Taj will stick with them... They know that there is some big fissures on the other tribe and as JT mentioned a couple of times he doesn't know if he can trust someone after only a couple of days. I don't think that Coach or Tyson proved their "trustworthiness" by backstabbing their own tribe within minutes of the merge. Both Tyson and Coach had OTT edits tonight, both claiming their superiority over the game, the universe, everything. But me thinks that JT and Stephen throw in with Taj, Brenden and Sierra. The five will vote out either Tyson or Coach in a true blindside. Of the two, Tyson is the bigger threat and I wouldn't be surprised if he goes before Coach. What fun it would be to watch Coach without his "Co-Coach".... ah the drama would be delicious. Score ends up Dragon 1, Dragon Slayer 0. LOL |

Then either Coach is forced to work with the girls, or Timbira implodes. Tyson is #1 threat and come off very arrogant and over-confident. Brendan is the next threat with his idol. If they don't take him out at F8, he and the 3 Timgirls cakewalk to the end. I bet Stephen will be thinking 3 moves ahead. How do you go from 6-3 to 3-3? |

i agree craig i think tyson will go next and brendan in 8th place at final 7 i think coach will work with the timbira chicks and knock out one of the 3
jalapaos.....remember in ep 6 they showed the 3 of them saying they will take each other to end... And most of the time if they show it, it wont happen

The two players with the most on the ball are Stephen and Tyson.
Very interesting days ahead. Note: Probst did not state that Joe would return to be the first member of the jury. Therefore, I think he was telling the truth when he said a final 2. It looks like a traditional final 2 with a seven member jury. (Thank goodness. The final 3 weakens the game.) |

One pet peeve. We have been shown next to nothing about Debbie. At no point have we EVER heard her discuss strategy, even if it's just stating she's
sticking with an alliance. Once again, the editors don't know what to do with a woman who isn't a sex kitten, raging b**ch or hectoring mother type.
I'm not saying she's a brilliant strategist. However, it is the same problem we saw with Susie last season and she almost won. We see the men talking
about where she stands but she isn't given the chance to say it herself.

It would have been fun to watch Joe play the fake idol.
I had no idea that a medical team was always on site. Knowing that, I think it would be a better idea to treat the wounds with some saline or IV antibiotic as they happen and avoid these evacuations. It's silly to let what was probably a simple wound progress to the point where it can infect the bone. |

Tyson was suppposed to be a villian. I can see the potential, but he needs more development in that area. Coach I've thoroughly had enough of

Joe told Erinn he left the FHII at the Jalapao camp.
Per Free Translation there is no Portugese word 'forza', however the word for 'strength' is força (it forces), which might be pronounced 'forza'. |

I was kinda sort taken off guard, when QE asked me to do it it was exactly when Coach made the analogy that the new merge tribe is like getting a new girl
friend ... lots of new things to explore. I really want to give him the benifit because they are doing a hell of a number on him but crap he is the one
saying this shit.
My sister is a Court Recorder and can type something like 3 or 4 hundred words per minute, I think over 150 on a regular keyboard, she managed to get all the talent. I am still looking at the keyboard and type just about the way I think ... three to four words per minute. I almost went into a Sammy moment with the Joe and the Doctor scene and do a play by play that she amputates his leg ... and BTW, I do the homophobe thing for humor. In real life, when people go into the standard anti-homosexual discussions we have all heard I tend to piss them off countering them Especially when they go into biblical arguements. Afterwards they think that I am gay and/or an atheist...I am neither. I actually think Tyson is next out, especially after this weeks OTT edit. Old Tim has the numbers and he is the biggest challenge threat ... he won this immunity way too easily and this carries a lot of weight. I sort of convinced myself that Coach and JT was given the Nelleh Flip when they did the left handed handshake agreement. There is one indicator, the buckle of JT's shorts that tells me that it was really a left handed handshake.
