the pros vary somewhat from year to year, Cheryl (Gilles' partner) has been on each season since Season 2, I believe. Sometimes she gets great partners
(she's won twice) and sometimes she gets to dance with the likes of Wayne Newton.....
Pros take a season off from time to time or become persona non grata for bitching about the judging and don't get invited back. Chelsie and Dmitry are
new pros this year, Lacey was new last season.
There's enough of a return factor that pros begin to gather fans of their own (Maks, Edyta, Julianne, etc.)
