No, but seriously: I'm right. Nu'utele is just to the northwest of Nu'ulua (it's obscured on Google Earth). They're both in the Aleipata Islands group. Anyways, I'm asking again: what's the evidence? |

Oh and that island you posted (Nu'ulua) is only a half mile across. Definitely not big enough for an entire Survivor production. Maybe it's just the
location of a tribe camp or something?

Oh yeah you are right. I was looking at Google earth and not seeing it, but if you look real close its hidden by clouds. Maybe they use both Islands.

No problem. It's up to the next generation of Survivor fans to spoil locations I guess (most of Survivor Maps is gone). I actually really hope now that
Nu'utele is the real location.
It's the island off in the distance. |

Just my opinion, but I think the camps will be located near the Taga Blowholes (see map on post #51) on the island of Savaii. Savaii is much less populated
and developed than Upolu and the scenery is spectacular.
One of the earlier spoilers said something about the location being near two luxury resorts. That points to Coconuts and Sinalei resorts, on the southwest coast of Upolu. There are a number of smaller resorts in that area and lots of room for the production company, with the Taga Blowholes area a reasonable boat ride (or short helicopter ride) away. Again, this is just my opinion, based on living "in the neighborhood" on Tutuila, American Samoa. |

Just my opinion, but I think the camps will be located near the Taga Blowholes (see map on post #51) on the island of Savaii. Savaii is much less populated and developed than Upolu and the scenery is spectacular. Don't you think Savaii is still too built up? Google Earth shows alot of houses and roads on it. FOR SURE they will use the blow hole and vulcanic areas for something. But don't you think the deserted Islands of Nu'utele and Nu'ulua would fit better in Survivor plans?

A Navy ship big enough to attract attention at the Matautu Wharf and small enough to land at a beach near you is in town.
The French Navy Ship "Jacques Cartier," under the helm of Commander Laurent Bliecq, has been granted diplomatic clearance for a routine visit to Apia from yesterday until Sunday as part of its transport mission for the Pacific Oceanographic Group. The "Jacques Cartier" has visited Samoa several times in recent years, said Honorary Consul of France in Samoa, Vaimasenu'u Zita Martel.
These operations aim at marking locations where French Navy Ships could land in the event of having to offload equipment or evacuate people during a disaster relief operation. The Bâtiment de Transport Léger or "light amphibious transport and landing vessel" are small landing ships of the French Navy. These vessels can transport or ferry over 400 tons of material in the hangar and on the deck. Loading and unloading from the Jacques Cartier can be done from a harbour or from a beach. Because of its flat bottom, the ship allows the unloading of 50 men and light vehicles each straight off a beach. A helicopter landing deck allows landing for light helicopters, and transfer from and to heavy helicopters. |

K---so this actually can tell us alot. 1st: it states "THE" CBS filming will not happen in May. So, that means they are aware that filming will take place. 2nd: Actual filming will not start until mid to late June and so she said it won't happen in May is accurate even if that is WHERE they will film. |

^ I agree with that interpretation StarDust. She could have said they are not filming in Samoa. I am having trouble nailing down where in Samoa and I think
the tip I had on the Island on Nu'utele Island is wrong. Its a very tall island and very visable from Upolu. Heres a look at Nu'utele.

Besides prefering inland locations, I liked the idea that they are going back to islands, but they could have gone to another ocean. The Pacific islands look
so ramdon. And there other beuatiful islands in the Indic Ocean (Seychelles, Mauritius, Comores, Zanzibar, Maldives) and in the Atlantic Ocean (Canary Island,
Cape Verde, Sao Tomé and Prince), but they refuse to go for such locations, anyone knows the reason why the producers avoid going to that islands?

Um, Pulau Tiga, Marquesas, Pearl Islands, Palau, Cook Islands etc. are all hugely different places that barely look alike at all. Fiji in particular looked
like no other location the show has ever been held in as far as "island seasons" go. To say they all looked the same to you means that you probably
don't pay any attention to how anything looks unless it bashes you over the head with how obviously different it is.
