She should've gave Baltar a running jump jack-punch to the jaw for outing her as a salacious lesbian walking corpse. Though I loved it when Baltar basically told Caprica "So, heard you had a miscarriage....wanna fuck?". Bitch shoulda backhanded him right there. Other than that this episode was a whole lotta nothing. The finale is gonna have to be insanely epic to make up for this shit. At this point, I hope Baltar and Ellen get together and spread venerial disease to the other half of the fleet and everybody dies a horrible painful death.

And then there was that January 2009 Ron Moore interview with the Chicago Tribune: That planet is Earth? We're not going to find out, "Oh, there's this other Earth over here..." This is the only Earth we'll see? They have found Earth. This is the Earth that the 13th Colony discovered, they christened it Earth. They found Earth.

Plus I thought I read somewhere that the ruined city wasn't NYC but a generic ruined city according to Moore or somebody. It looked to me like Sydney anyway. But it makes sense -- the planet they thought was Earth was the toasters' home planet, thus the guidance signals created by them guiding them to their home. Human Earth could well still be out there. Besides, wasn't the war that nuked that planet between the Centurions and the skinjobs?

In the middle of the 4th season, when they landed on that other "Earth", they never showed any recognizable land masses on the planet from space. It wasn't our Earth. Of course, Ron Moore is right, in the Galactica universe, they did find Earth. Our planet won't be called Earth when they find it. They'll try to make us think that the Galactica has colonized some other faraway planet, but at the very end of the episode, the camera will pull back into space, and they will reveal the recognizable land masses of our planet.

They'll destroy all technology and human/skinjob will start fresh so they can end the cycle. Egypt, Babylon, Greeks, etc, will be the different tribes. Or not.

I thought it was confirmation she'd been there and looky there, it really is Earth! Yay! (But there are two more seasons! WTF?) It makes no sense for the entire series, thanks to all the prophecies and ruins, for them to be actually be pointing them at the Cylon world, conveniently also called the "13th Colony" and "Earth" (you'd think the other colonies would balk at that last label, suggesting "New" to be added or something). To pull the "oh, that wasn't our Earth" deal is way too cliched and I refuse to believe this intelligent writing staff is going to take us there. They'd end up looking like losers. The "earth" that the colonists call as such is not the same thing as the "earth" that was shown in season 3 (crossroads, was it?) I stand firm by this. I also don't think it would be a cop out, as I think they've been setting it up for quite some time.

Well, they were playing a rockin' version of "All Along the Watchtower" as they zoomed through space to it. That ties it to Kara and the Cylons, both of whom have ties to the "Earth" they found in Season 4. Oh... that didn't answer your question. They would have confirmed the Season 4 Earth as the legendary one by checking the constellations. Turns out, Adama had Gaeta confirm the constellations before they went to the surface. So the production crew was savvy enough to move some stars around (and omit some for nova-like action) to adjust for how constellations would look with thousands of years of difference. That they perhaps didn't do so "correctly" (and really, how can we really know what the future holds in store for all those stars?), no big deal. It's a fictional TV show. To me, the Season 3 Zoom, Florida, All Along The Watchtower, The Final 5 calling it "Earth" cuz they been there, sinches it for me that they've found the Earth they've been looking for. I'm not sure why people feel the need to put "our" Earth in the TV show, when it's their Earth they've been looking for. Now, say, at the end, they find a new habitable planet... anyone really think they're going to name it after a nuked Cylon world?
