Poor Race Planning Hate |
Lead | |

Short roadblock (4 minute bobsled + putting letters together) after a detour with both sides taking an extremely long time basically leaves no chance for the
U-Turned team to survive

worst detour ever to have a u-turn after

Yeah Amanda and Kris were screwed. Interesting that so many teams did the bobsled in 4 minutes or a little less. Kinda suspicious.

It is pretty bad planning. At least A/K were probably gone anyway, but they still could've passed the midgets. U-Turn was just stupid there. Hell,
it's just stupid overall.
It sucks that Amanda/Kris had to get eliminated by that fucking U-Turn. |

Usually a poorly planned leg takes out a good team like Dave and Lori. At least this time it took out a generic dating couple. |

I don't think the construction task was supposed to take that long, so there should have been a chance to catch up.

Obviously they wanted the UTurn to be used (anonymity twist), and they wanted it to have a real effect.
Mission accomplished - a strong team was targted and taken out. Meaning an all-girl, disability, minority, or oldster team is gonna win.

I really don't get why people who watch it are so fucking defensive about this shit. And this is actually a situation where it's fine to bring it up. What pisses me off is when people say shit like "OMG TAR HAS HAD A F/F TEAM WINNER!11111111!" No, it hasn't. Amazing Race Asia has. This isn't that complicated. But what do I know I'm E T H N O C E N T R I C !!!! |

Since this is the 14th season (!) I've got fond memories of folks complaining that the U-Turn was always positioned so that it had no net
effect on the Race.
So for any of you who've ever thought that, this was your Karma. |

What a worst leg. Mark & Mike were lost in a congested streets in Krasnoyarsk in hours to find a frickin' workshop. The sun in Krasnoyarsk nearly set
when they survive in this leg.

I say it every year and I will say it now but why not have a NEL in the first 2-3 episodes for a change. I hate when we get down to the final 6 people and we
know there is 2 NELs left.

Considering the fact that Amander/Kris were already in last place when they got U-Turned, I'd hardly say it caused their Philimination. Just delayed the
inevitable.
I was expecting it to be a NEL though, just so we could get the near-eliminated team accusing everyone of UTurning them except the team that actually did it. |

Nice twist to the entire picture here, folks.
Looks like that spaz deaf guy is a real jerk too. Who'd a thunk it?! |

(and fwiw, combining TARA and TAR means I can say that the show has had 4 decent winners rather than 2. It's more of a coping mechanism than anything) (fwiw 2, that being said, wouldn't all of this fit into a discussion of the series as a whole?) |

Usually a poorly planned leg takes out a good team like Dave and LoriI don't know why people bitch about that leg - the nerds lost because of their shitty driving. Just because there's no bunching doesn't mean it's a crappily planned leg (Ep #6 of TAR3 is well thought out too, it's not the planners fault they didn't account for Aaron/Arianne falling ridiculously far behind). |
