Good to know about Ian and Tom...It makes me kind-of wish that they (or Ian and Katie for more drama) would get on the amazing race.

Christy is not a moron, and I have to believe the production team did their very best to make sure she knew the directions. Yes, she is deaf, but she it's
not like she was suddenly stricken with a hearing imparment. My experience with disabled people is that they function better than most people understand. I
can't imagine that Christy actually got the directions backwards.
Like Sensei said, I think this is one of those questions that will never be answered. My opinion - Christy is simply a feminist who wanted a woman to win a game that was at the time a big deal for being a "battle of the sexes".

I thought the theory behind Christy's vote for Jenna was that she saw herself as representing the deaf community and didn't want to give the impression
that she (and other deaf people) were extremely bitter.

I refuse to believe that Cwisty voted for Jenna to win because she was a woman and wanted a woman to win. I will continue to believe that Cwisty voted for
Jenna because she didn't hear the rules that she had to vote to WIN and that she voted Jenna because she still thought they were voting people off. I will
believe that until there is a video that CBS releases of her confessional!

^ I actually just watched the reuinion and the first thing jeff asked was how on earth did Christy vote for Jenna. Christy simply said that she thought about
it and felt like jenna played the better game. she outwitted outplayed and outlasted everyone

^ Could simply be an explanation after the fact to cover up the embarressment of screwing up. :P We'll never know the truth until they release that
voting confessional...

And they never will. At least not until the series is off the air. I can't even believe that we are still debating and questioning something (that was
actually pretty minor in the grand scheme of things) that happened 12 seasons ago...

At least she didn't spell Tina with a C, like Elisabeth did.

So had Christy never seen Survivor before? How does someone not know you vote for the winner at the Final Tribal council? I don't buy it.
I think it was less of a vote for Jenna and more of a vote against Matt. I remember hearing that she didn't like him and thought he was creepy the whole time out there. |

She said of Jenna, 'She outwitted, outplayed and outlasted me.' And why is this still an issue? Even if she HAD intended to vote for Matt (which even when watching that show, I couldn't imagine anyone doing, honestly), Jenna still would've won. It's not like Christy was a swing vote or anything. |

I wasn't watching when the show first aired, so I have this question: did Burnett intend for the show to take a more strategic, alliance-filled route? Or did he think people would actually vote based on who was the best at surviving, and alliances and such were an unforseen development? And what was the opinion of the viewing public when alliances began forming? Did people expect/want them to form, or were they shocked/outraged? |

Not to mention the fact that at the finale, she was asked about why she voted for Jenna after her 'stepsisters' ouster. She said of Jenna, 'She outwitted, outplayed and outlasted me.'Not to mention having a few days at "Ponderosa" to cool down, and possibly (probably) be swayed by other jurors such as Deena (whom Christy was close to) and even Come on, this was the 6th season of the show; there were far fewer "blank slate" clueless recruits back then and even the recruits who know NOTHING about the show when they're picked are shown DVDs of old seasons during their interview week in LA. To propose that Christy--who is deaf, not stupid (except when it comes to flip-flopping at F6)--would never have learned this rule AND missed it the whole time it was explained is crazy. She didn't live under a rock for 5 seasons, let alone her whole interview process. But, releasing the voting footage would put a stop to this speculation, and the fact that they won't will always taint it. |

Which in itself is idiotic, as Christy is hardly the only person to vote for someone that she bitched about ingame. Oh but she's deaf, so she must have been completely retarded when it came to that one vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
