John Vito was Italian. Surprisingly I don't blame people confusing some Latinos with Italians. They do look alike.

Suprisingly, I don't blame people for their ignorance and/or their ignorant posts on internet message boards. I have always thought it is better to supress one's ignorance by keeping one's mouth shut, than by opening it and removing all doubt.


FYI, "Latinos are any people/culture that derived its language and/or culture from ancient Rome and the language of Rome which was LATIN, hence the term "LATINO." There are five major languages/cultures in the world that are derived from LATIN........French, Italian, Portuguese, Romanian and Spanish. Thats one reason universities list these as the ROMANCE languages. So if your first language is anyone of those five or your heritage derived from one of those countries, whether you like it or not, you are a LATINO.

Hispanic is another interesting term. It comes from the Hispanola/Iberian Peninsula of Europe that includes Portugal and Spain. So Hispanics would be a subset of Latinos that came from Portuguese or Spanish heritage, both in language or culture.

So now you know the rest of the story........JohnVito really is a Latino, Eric Sanchz is both Latino and Hispanic....
