Just after they load off the truck JP states that they are going to force the 'first impressions' and says "Immediately, we are going to force them to vote someone out of each tribe" "One person from each tribe is not going to make this journey" Did someone say there is a twist that they are voting someone out of their own tribe, and that person joins the other tribe? Debra does not look anywhere close to her age to me. I think it's a lot more likely Tyson is talking about the bus driver. But based just on that clip, I'd say Tyson would be more likely to go, based on lack of social skills. Just that subtlety of saying "older woman" than "old woman" makes friends and influences people. The guy from south alabama identifies himself as a "cattle farmer" not a rancher as TV Guide was suggesting, so I'm thinking now he's not quite as deluded as he first came off. The guy from Austin is an idiot. Not because he is from Austin, but dude? "People from the south tell it like it is"? Kinda like people from New Jersey? ETA: Lots of pretty colors! I'm totally impressed they came up with an authentically aged yet color coordinated truck. I love the ones where they have to grab stuff. I'm thinking they're going to have to walk in to the campsites, carrying their new stuff. That's the "journey" one person from each tribe is not going to make. Are they exiled? Swapped? Didn't it seal Debb's (S2) and Diane's (S3) fate based on the first impression through the long trek. I assume then that the challenge that they show in the clip will be for reward, and perhaps an individual immunity since both tribes are going to vote someone off. Agree with you about Joe as well Birdlady. Tyson and Ben will be the type of personality that we love to hate (ala Ace), but Joe just comes off as annoyingly self centered. My initial loves are for Carolina, Sierra, Errin Jerry, Stephen (got to cheer for the geek!).

Lots to do today :-p -------------------------------- Survivor: Tocantins Meet The Cast [confessional scenes] JP: This season we're focusing on the first episode on first impressions. And we're gonna try to force those impressions out. Debra: I really think that we have some really interesting characters. Jerry: I am different from anybody that you've ever seen...'cause I am calm...I'm laid back...and I know how to get inside of people's head heh heh heh. Debra: People don't believe I am a Middle School Principal. The don't believe I'm a Principal. Stephen: I am probably not going to tell people that I went to Yale. There definitely seems to be an anti-IVY bias on the show. I want people to judge me for just how stupid I am rather than some fake degree. Tyson: There's a couple people that I don't like. The old woman firstly[Sandy shown], is fidgety. She kind of invades my personal space. I think she's too weak and too old for the game. Brendan: I love playing..like I'm a playful guy...I'm fun. Carolina: I know who is a little bit of a show-off[Spencer shown] and who isn't. And who is lacking a little bit of manners[Candice shown]...and who isn't. But I'm not what you think...so...be careful. Taj: I have to control my snappiness. I'm very snappy. I have no patience. Sierra: I'm a chick with balls. That's right, you heard me. Jeff said that she did her homework, and she seems to have really looked into the aspects of Surivivor and surviving in the wild. She is cute, more than a stereotypical model (see Sydney) and reminds me of a meatier Courtenay. Dubbed the "Iron Butterfly" I like it.. her only fault is praising Ozzie's game. Damn.

His picking of favorites and finding creative ways of saying "I think this person is worthless" is becoming increasingly offensive. His thoughts on Candace and Taj were borderline racist. And I hate that he loves strong men, is suspicious of strong women, and has no respect whatsoever for women in general. What. A. Prick.

I have been trying to catch up on all of my Survivor Stuff lately...And I noticed that an Candace Smith from Ohio was to be on Survivor...She is from Dayton...That is just 24 miles from where I live...I go to Dayton quit often...Several times a week...Anyway, My first impression's of Candace were correct. After from what I have just read about what Blind Freddy has posted...The rest of her tirbe is in for a surprise.

They had 3 MAJOR hits in 1993, including one of the 3 biggest hits of that year: "Weak" which spent 4 weeks at #1. That's not some obscure group. But overall, I am not counting on much from this group. I hate to say it, but they are not the most educated. I'm not saying that means everything, but very few of them do anything at all. I'm thinking there's a bunch of Kelly-types from last season.
