You'd think What's-His-Name Peterson (is it Peterson?) was dead or something in RL. I went to cbs.com cuz I haven't heard anything about the upcoming Survivor season ... big mistake. Apparently, this whole Gil Grissom leaving CSI (one of the "great dramas" according to them) is some super-huge big-time event we're supposed to care about, and possibly even cry over with their memorial videos and favo moment videos and whatnot. Do you care? Should I care?

If he IS one of those bluetooth 24-hours-a-day LOUD phone-talkers I already hate him very very much, though.

Posts: 30821 (01/12/09 11:44 AM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	The only way it would be watchable is if Gil Grissom is killed in some grisly manner leaving only microscopic clues for the CSI team to investigate, with Catherine clutching a tweezers while her hair glows auburn gold and Greg shoved into a clubby tee-shirt a size too small. There has to be some kind of semen evidence, and it will lead definitely to one suspect, until a twist throws the spotlight on that one person who seemed innocent the entire time. (As in, semen belonged to Suspect A, but it is suddenly found out that Suspect B slept with Suspect A, kept his semen in a baggy and injected it via a syringe into Gil's body.)

In some shows, you'll see the cops try to get a confession before the guy lawyers up. Not on CI! Time after time, the defense attorney SITS THERE ON HIS ASS while the cops berate him into a confession. So awful.

I watch it off and on, and it's kinda sad, but I'll get over it. As long as hot cop guy from CSI NY never leaves, I'll be happy.

Posts: 3208 (01/12/09 12:08 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	i started watching reruns about 2 yrs ago, maybe it started when i got on-demand, so i've seen 2 seasons. i watch the las vegas one with gil, but none of the others. gil was a great character. the show is good, and i've liked marg since china beach, but don't know if i'll watch when he leaves. new guy will need to bring a lot to the show to make up for gil's quirky-deadpan-thing. i haven't watched any other csi's, but i started watching cold case bc of csi, i think. still never watched an episode of law and order.
