What are some potential Tie Breakers if there is a tied jury vote?

I think a good way to do it would be after then jury casts their votes, dismiss them, then dismiss the final three, then call the person who placed third right back in, reveal to them that they did not win but that their was a tie and now they have to break the tie. Then at the live revealing, read all votes including the one that forced the tie, and then show the footage of jeff revealing to the third place finisher that their was a tie and how it would be settled. The only logical way to do this is to make the F3 vote as well on the location and in case of a tie, the vote of the 3rd place finisher establishes the winner. 3-3-1 tie was very close to happening in China if only Frosti had voted for his girlfriend Courtney.

Posts: 1219 (01/08/09 11:46 PM) Registered user Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Connection Block Invite	In a final 3 winner tie scenario, a good way would be to have everyone in the final 3, even the non-tied finalist, to unanimously agree on one jury member's vote to discount. All 3 of them have to kick someone off the jury, but it has to be a unaminous decision. They vote, and Jeff reads the votes. If it's unanimous, then Jeff gets the votes for the winners, takes out the kicked off juror's vote and throws in into the fire. Then Jeff walks away and magically appears months later at the Survivor finale and reads the votes. Idk what would happen if it wasn't unaminous lol. to compensate whoever gets ejected from the jury gets 10,000 dollars automatically for having their vote be discounted. to be fair right?

Yeah the reason being that the deciding juror didn't think either of the F2 to be worthy of his vote in the first round. Actually I recall reading that the F3 do indeed vote also (just not shown on tv), so this is most likely how they resolve the tie.

They'd have to do it out on location, because it would simply be ridiculously unfair to have someone cast a vote at the live reunion (what with a season of edited footage influencing them). If they did do it out there, Jeff would have to announce the tie out there (probably by revealing the votes), and the third-placer would vote. The live vote reveal would then only be one vote, which would be horribly anticlimactic. I think the best thing to do is to have each of the F3 members vote and keep them in three separate envelopes. Then if there was a tie Jeff could just bring out the three envelopes and explain to the audience and viewers at home that if there was a tie (such as a 3-3-1) then they would read the secret vote of the person with the 1 vote as a tiebreaker. This way, the tiebreaker wouldn't happen live by either a pre-jury member or the person with 1 vote who has had the luxury of seeing all the votes.
