Carla is so fascinating to watch. She started out as basically a joke, yet she oddly gains dimension as this show goes on, and proves to be one of the more
mature cheftestants. I would not be suprised if she won, esp since early on there was a mention of caterers never having won the show.

Carla's expressions and overall look just punches up her entertainment factor...this also probably helped her stay in the competition after being in the
bottom...I also love her secret ingredient....she just makes me smile and I hope she cooks better, at least outlast Arianne

Not sure why Arianne is perceived as the noodles/pizza/bread lady, when her forté appears to be perfectly cooking meat. I don't remember if that's
always the case, but seems like every time she's in the top, the judges say her meat was cooked perfectly, part of why she's in the top.
I guess it's hard to compete with perfectly cooked meat. |

Fantasy Top Chef ::camera pans over judges' panel:: Padma: Jamie, Ariane, and Fabio. You were the judges' favorite dishes tonight. But only one of you will come out on top. Our judges as usual include Chef Tom Collichio, founder of Craft and all-around hot teddy bear of a man. Tom: Hey chefs. Padma: Toby Whatshisface, British prick and author of books we don't really care about. BritPrick: ::sternly nods:: Padma: And our special guest, Chef Franzwick Guggenheimermuffletuck, owner of Eat Bistro and author of the well-renowned book "Don't Burn the Water and other European techniques." Guggenheimer: 'allo Padma: Let's start with Fabio... BritPrick: There was great chemistry in this dish, like a Julia Roberts movie back when she used to be great and wrapped in a sheet of organza silk. A coup-de-tat of culinary proportions. Everyone: ... Tom: Well, I really loved this dish. It reminded me of when I was young and I used to experiment with a lot of things. It stirred a passion in me I haven't felt in years. ::loosens his collar:: Fabio: It was-a my grand-a-mamas especial recipe with a little of a-myself in-a da sauce. She woulda die if I didn't-a please the great-a Tom Collichio. Padma: Well, I thought... Tom: In that case, you can't dissappoint your grandmother, can you? In fact I think I need a special tasting of your sauce to really get your essence. Padma: I don't think we can.. ::looks down at Tom's lap:: OH MY GOD! ::looks the other way and covers her eyes:: Tom: Let's go now ::stands up with a napkin covering his front:: Fabio: Right-a now? Tom: Yes! ::smirks:: Right now! ::they both disappear backstage:: Padma: ::looks to the producers:: So do we continue...? Oh, ok... Next is Ariane. Guggenheimer: This was an innovative dish that just melted in my mouth. The marriage of flavors was perfect in its consistency. BritPrick: It was like flying on the Great Space Coaster through a transcedent veil of taste and savory concoctions. It was a victory on a Susan Lucci winning the Emmy scale. Everyone: ... Padma: ok... It was so savory and sweet at the same time. The texture was so crisp on the outside yet soft on the inside. It was great to taste so much flavor in a dish that seemed simple but was so complex. What did you call this again? Ariane: Toast. Padma: Excellent! And now on to Jamie. It was great to see you use a different protein. The steak was cooked perfectly... Sourdyke: Umm, I didn't cook a steak. Padma: You didn't? ::fumbles with her index cards:: Wait... what was your dish? Sourdyke: I made the seared scallop on the rutabaga and pear puree. Padma: Ugh, that shit was disgusting. Please pack your knives and go.

TikiLou, your snippet of Fantasy Top Chef was amusing.
I really would love to see Fabio & Stefan in the F3, because I enjoy their interplay & Fabio doesn't get offended by Stefan's competitiveness lik all the other cry babies. I also think it will be a close competition between the two of them (though Fabio has to win). The third needs to be either HBR, because I think she has the skills to possible put up a little competition, or Carla just because Carla is fun to watch and she can throw in her love, Pizzazz & good juju into the finale making it even that much more enjoyable. |

It's so weird to see people even considering Carla and HBR as contenders for the finale. Based on what I've seen, they are painted as fodder. The ones
I've seen them showing as possible contenders are as follows:
1. Stefan (front runner, I would say) 2. Fabio (slipping) 3. Jamie (slipped, but hopefully rising) 4. Ariane (has risen to the point that she's almost always in the top group) 5. Hosea (has won a few times and rarely sucked) Everybody else should have no chance whatsoever. |

The ones I've seen them showing as possible contenders are as follows:Its really lame that Radhika is getting the shaft in editing. Based on stats alone, she is definitely in the top half. She has two quickfire wins and an elimination challenge win. She has never been in the bottom group of an elimination challenge, and has only been in the bottom for one quickfire challenge. I feel that Fabio and Jaimie are so over inflated in the rankings. Fabio hasn't won since episode 2, and has continued to make slip ups. Jaimie while has been in the top group many times, has been in the bottom for both the quickfire and the elimination challenge several times. |

Jamie's annoying...but we all remember how far annoying Lisa made it last year. I'm really over her.
I like Fabio, Carla and Ariane. I'm not a big Jeff fan. We'll see. |
