I love the fact that people who watch Survivor on TV think they know more about the game than people who actually played it. This is why I get annoyed with the Survivor fan of 2009, when compared to the Survivor fan of 2000. The hubris that has shown up in fans over the past few years is unbelievable. Yay, we watch Survivor on TV. We play ORG games. We know as much as the players do. Online Survivor is the same thing as actually going out and doing it!

X big time. None of us can truly be on the same level as anyone who has played the game unless we've been out there in the same conditions as them. People like RavuRules who quote their ORG performance to criticize players and claim that they are smarter than other posters here are completely foolish.

I'd agree with your assessment of those four Fairplay. What if it was strictly players though? Would you permit Cirie as the fourth?

Everyone has bias, Wyldawg was just stating the obvious. You are dragging this conversation into nowhere.

ORGS are a good enough measure of how people act in the real game.

No they're not, Hatch. I explained this already to Ravu, do I have to explain it to you?

1) In real Survivor, a million dollars is on the line. In an ORG, notariety for a few days is on the line. The prize at the end is completely uncomparable. And hence how much heart people put into it, in terms of playing hard, and how pissed off jury members are are completely uncomparable. If you get backstabbed in an ORG, you forgive and forget and a few days later its like nothing every happened. You get backstabbed in the real game, you just got your chance to win a million dollars, your chance to be financially secure and for your family to be financially secure seized from you. There is NO comparison whatsoever to that in an ORG.
2) In real Survivor you're playing in real conditions. You're not sitting on your ass playing on your computer. If you honestly think that the state of mind of someone who plays an ORG for a few hours a couple of nights a week in their air conditioned or heated home is in any way comparable to the state of mind of someone who is out in a harsh climate thinking about the game 24 hours a day because thats all there is to think about, then you're a complete and utter fool.
