You've donated your childrens organs? Can't get 'em out of the house fast enough, can you?

You register as a donor where I live. It's just so that if anything ever happened, the Dr. knows our feelings on the subject before bringing it up. People
can register as UNdonors if they feel strongly about it. My reasoning was that horrible things must only happen to children of parents who *don't* use
their childs organs to save someone elses' kid, so by making them donors I'm ensuring that Nothing Bad Will Ever Happen to them.

Yes. When I die I want to continue helping others, like my cousin. RIP

I am neither an organ donor nor an African albino; stop following me. |

Once, I kept seeing African albinos EVERYWHERE I went.
It was creepy! |

Hell no. They don't even try to save you when they see all those meaty organs up for grabs. Fuck that. It's all a fucking scam anyway.

Shut up! My faulty logic makes perfect sense!

You know when they take the organs they always have sex with the corpse, right? A L W A Y S.

The guy at the DMV gave me a sad look when I said no to being an organ donor. At that point, I just said yes and now have the pink donor circle on my license.
I figure if I die, my family is not going to be searching my cadaver for missing organs at the rosary and funeral.

Are gays even allowed to donate organs?
I would think the FDA would have the same ban on organs that they have on blood. |

Seriously. ER docs are infamous of not trying as hard if they think they can harvest you. Why would anyone buy into this bullshit?

So what? If half-assery won't pull you through, you'd probably just end up spending the rest of your 'life' unconscious & hooked up to
machines, anyway.

at the moment i'm too squicked out by the idea, but someday i'll probably agree to do it. (although they may have to reject my liver)

I only am because my mom was there when I filled out the license application and she guilted me into it. I don't want to be because a) like squashie said,
doctors won't be as keen to keep you around if you're a donor, and b) I'm afraid that I might flatline but be not quite dead, and I'd like to
wake up with all my organs. If it were possible to let me get cold for a few days to make sure, then go for it, but I'm too skittery.
What I want to know is if all you peeps are donors, why do sick people sit on waiting lists for years. |

Um... because they aren't dead yet.

Nurse, I can't operate on this guy until I check his drivers license. |

But if all these donors are still alive, it logically follows that a proportionate number of donors are constantly dying, satiating much of the demand from the
sick. Unless donorism is prevalent only in young healthy people.
