Kota Tribe - Day 6
<'Abagail Scenic' plays, as the camera shows an aerial view of several limestone cliffs and scrolls above them, before fading out to show a clip of a monkey eating a bunch of leaves. The camera then cuts ahead to show the defeated Kota members returning back to camp>
G.C.: Bad news, Kota! <The camera cuts ahead to show Jacquie, Marcus, and Sugar>
Jacquie: We gave everything we had and more… <Sugar can be heard repeating "And more," as the camera zooms out to show a wide view of all eight Kota members>
Jacquie: I can't believe another one of us is going home! <A teary-eyed Sugar is shown>
Sugar: <to Jacquie> I know; <short pause> I don't want to have to, like, hurt anyone on our tribe. <A clip of several Kota members talking in a group is now shown> I just want to be positive… <laughs> <Another close-up view of Sugar is now shown>
Sugar - CONFESSIONAL: Emotions are running so high for people in our tribe right now. <laughs> We have to go back to Tribal Council and everyone's very sad. I feel awful, <Bob can be seen hugging Sugar> because I know someone's leaving and I'm gonna have to say who I want to leave and it's just really stressful… <laughs> <Bob now says something inaudible>
Sugar: <to Bob> I don't want to do it at all… <The camera continues to show Sugar>
Sugar - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Obviously Matty is an easy vote; <short pause> well, not an easy vote. There's no easy votes in Survivor, but <pause> he's an easy target because he voted against the tribe, <Matty is now shown sitting by the fire> but <long pause> I don't know; it could just as easily be Susie tonight, I think. <A clip of Susie dragging a log back to camp is shown> It's hard to say… <A prominent sound is heard, as the camera abruptly cuts ahead to show Marcus, Jacquie, Bob, and Sugar talking in a group on Kota's dock>
Bob: <to Marcus> Are we voting Matty, or, uh, Susie? <Marcus is then shown looking up>
Marcus: I'm thinking Susie, because not only is she the weakest, <The camera switches angles to show another rapid view of Susie> but I mean, that gives us the upper hand in the tribe, because then it's only Crystal and G.C. that we have to worry about. <Jacquie can now be seen nodding her head> Is that kinda what you guys are thinking too? <The camera scrolls across the four Kota alliance members, as Jacquie nods her head>
Jacquie: Yeah… <Sugar can be heard saying "We have to," before Marcus is shown again>
Marcus - CONFESSIONAL: My thinking is that the best option for the "Upper Hand" is to eliminate Susie tonight for several reasons, <The camera now switches angles to show a watchful Susie walking past the Kota tribe's flag> and, <long pause> also, keeping Matty around is not gonna be a threat numbers-wise, so we can continue to benefit from his strength in challenges while keeping him in the minority… <The camera returns back to Marcus, Bob, Jacquie, and Sugar again, before focusing in on Marcus>
Marcus: We obviously just need to keep it under the table, <The camera now zooms in on Sugar> and let Crystal continue to think that she's a part of the group. <Bob nods his head> I mean, they don't have to know that we've, like, solidified anything… <Marcus is shown again>
Marcus - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> Losing Susie is actually a no-lose situation as long as we can keep our alliance under wraps, <short pause> and I'm pretty confident that we can… <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows a fast-forwarded view of the clouds shifting above a grassy valley, and then fades out to show Matty and Marcus talking>
Matty: <to Marcus> I know I'm on the outs, dude, so let me just say my piece: <Marcus is shown listening intently> we've lost three challenges, okay? That's every single challenge! <The camera continues to show Matty> So I think Susie is the weakest member of our tribe and we would be better off without her… <Marcus can be heard saying something inaudible>
Marcus: <to Matty> You don't have to worry about anything… <Matty asks "You're sure?!">
Matty: So who are we voting then, bro? Susie?! <The camera shows a close-up view of Susie sitting down by the fire, and then returns back to both Matty and Marcus>
Marcus: <to Matty> I think, <short pause> yeah; it's gonna be Susie… <Matty is now shown>
Matty - CONFESSIONAL: Marcus told me it's gonna be Susie. That's what I wanted to hear; <short pause> you know, that just put my mind at ease for tonight cause I was getting super scared, super worried. <laughs> <Marcus can now be seen walking away from Matty, as the camera continues to focus on him> Hopefully nothing'll change tonight before Tribal because I need to stay in this game. I need for Susie to go home… <'Island Ritual' begins to play, as the camera shows a clip of Crystal, Marcus, and Bob talking by the lake>
Crystal: I mean, if you really wanted to win and your mind is like "I don't care about anybody else," who would you vote out? <The camera switches angles to show both Marcus and Bob>
Bob: <to Crystal> I couldn't beat Matty, uh, in the challenges… <Marcus is then shown>
Marcus: I mean, everybody knows Matty's the biggest physical threat. <Crystal now nods>
Crystal: That's what I'm telling you! <The camera abruptly cuts back to Marcus again>
Marcus: <to Crystal> But that's not what the game is right now… <Crystal then interjects>
Crystal: <to Marcus> The game is whatever we make of it. <Bob says something inaudible> We're all just pawns on this giant chessboard, you know? <Another view of Marcus is shown>
Marcus: <to Crystal> So what are you thinking? I mean, do I have your guarantee that if it's not Susie, that Matty goes home tonight and not someone else? <The camera returns to a stern-looking Crystal, as she shrugs her shoulders carelessly>
Crystal: <to Marcus> I don't know what I'm gonna do yet, <Bob is now shown with an uneasy expression on his face> but I'm telling you this right now, I'm not writing Susie's name down. <Marcus nods his head knowingly> I mean, I'm not even gonna lie, so <pause> if she does have the idol, it's gonna be somebody else goin' home, and <pause> it might be Matty and it might not… <The camera now shows Bob with a confused look on his face>
Bob: <to Crystal> Well, what do you mean by that? <The camera focuses back in on Crystal>
Crystal: <to Bob> You can make of it what you want. <A view of Bob is then shown again>
Bob: <to Crystal> Be real with us now! <The camera scrolls back over to Crystal>
Crystal: I am bein' real wit' you, Bob! That's all I'm gonna tell you. <Bob makes an annoyed face> Think about what I say… <An eerie shift in the music occurs, as the camera shows Bob smirking and then turns to an undecided Marcus, who displays a pensive look on his face>
Marcus - CONFESSIONAL: Initially, I had thought that it was gonna be Susie going home tonight, you know, pretty clear-cut, but there's actually a huge air of uncertainty in the tribe right now because Crystal's making threats, <Crystal is shown again> and <pause> if Susie did find the Immunity Idol on Exile, <The camera fades out to show Susie looking around one of the huts> um, over the last two days, we have no back-up plan… <A wide view of Bob, Jacquie, Sugar, and Marcus talking in a jungle area is then shown>
Sugar: So why can't we just vote Crystal? <The camera now focuses in on Bob>
Bob: <to Sugar> Well, we need one more vote is what the problem is, and then we could do three for Susie and three for, uh, Crystal. <Another view of a contemplative Marcus is shown>
Marcus: I wonder if G.C. would, uh, vote for Susie… <Bob then says "We can try">
Marcus - CONFESSIONAL: G.C., right now, appears to be in somewhat of an alliance with Susie and Crystal, <Susie, G.C., and Crystal are shown lying in the hut together> but I mean, nobody really talks strategy with G.C., and without him, it's hard to say that we would even have the votes to throw somebody else's name in there, <A clip of Marcus talking to G.C. is shown, as G.C. nods in agreement> so Crystal definitely raises a good point in that voting Susie might be too much of a risk. <A close-up view of Susie is shown> Maybe Matty's a safer option for tonight's Tribal Council… <The camera now cuts ahead to show a fast-forwarded view of the Kota tribe's flag, as clouds can be seen shifting rapidly behind it. Crystal and Susie are then shown talking to each other in a jungle area>
Crystal: <to Susie> Did you find the idol? <A close-up view of Susie is then shown>
Susie: <to Crystal> Listen: don't tell anybody but G.C., but <pause> the idol's here at camp. <A prominent sound is heard, as Crystal looks up> I mean, I'm putting my trust in you even to share that, <Crystal now says "Yeah"> but I'm also asking for your help… <Crystal nods>
Susie - CONFESSIONAL: It's gonna be really, really tough going to Tribal Council again because I'm definitely feeling that I could be the one going home, <The camera scrolls around both Susie and Crystal> so I'm gonna do whatever it takes to find the idol, and if anybody figures out what I'm doing, quite frankly, I don't give a crap… <laughs> <Crystal is shown>
Crystal: <to Susie> I have them thinking that we might vote for one of them cause I want them to vote Matty to be safe, <Susie is shown, as she listens intently and says "Right; okay"> but we're gonna put Matty down… <The camera continues to focus on Susie for a few seconds>
Susie: <to Crystal> Yeah; yeah. <Another view of Crystal is then shown next>
Susie - CONFESSIONAL: <continued> The only thing I can find that even remotely looks like it might be an idol is this bone from some kind of animal, <The camera shows a "flashback clip" of Susie picking up an animal bone from camp> so I might actually take that with me and hand it to Jeff at Tribal Council, just to be on the safe side. <A mysterious shift in the music occurs, as the camera shows Susie holding the animal bone, while talking to Crystal>
Susie: <to Crystal> Let's say I took this to Tribal Council… <Crystal can be seen looking up>
Crystal: <to Susie> But if you play the bone as the idol, then they're all gonna know that the idol's at camp… <Another wide view of both Crystal and Susie is shown next>
Susie: <to Crystal> I just, I don't want to go home and then have that turn out to be it… <The camera focuses back in on Crystal again, as she smiles>
Crystal: <to Susie> The bone's not the freakin' idol! <laughs> <Crystal then says "You crazy!">
Susie: <to Crystal> I just need to see what else I can find. You know, will you help me look?
Crystal: <to Susie> Yes! I told you I would… <A clip of both Susie and Crystal walking back towards Kota's main camp area is shown, before the camera zooms in on Crystal>
Crystal - CONFESSIONAL: I am praying to my all-powerful, almighty God that Susie or I finds the idol before Tribal tonight. <Rapid views of both women searching for the idol are now shown> Everything hinges on that because right now, it might be Matty; <The camera shows Matty running his hand through his wet hair> it might be Sue; you know, it might even be me, so finding that idol is the only way to guarantee 100% that Matty goes home. <A prominent drumbeat is heard, as the camera shows a close-up view of Susie. The screen then fades out>
