Not a first, but I wasn't sure where else to post it:
Gabon is only the 3rd season without a any rogue votes for 3rd persons. (by this I mean no more than 2 people receiving votes at any TC) Africa and All-Stars are the previous ones. |

Wasn't Tyson the first person to win post-merge Immunity and NOT be guaranteed to be safe at the next Tribal (without giving it up)? Well, that's
probably really stretching it, but never got why they didn't just keep him immune for the next episode.

Some from the two Australian versions:
Australian Survivor (aired at same time as Marquesas): + First time the merge episode immunity challenge didn't involve willpower. + First challenge where multiple players were eliminated at each stage. + First winner to pass away. (It sucks, and so did he, but it is a first.) + First final three challenge to not involve willpower. + First challenge to be cancelled. + First merged tribe name to be chosen by producers. Celebrity Survivor Vanuatu (aired at same time as Cook Islands): + First celebrity season (officially, but the definition of "celebrity" has really changed) + First merge with an odd number of players remaining + First jury with fewer than seven members |

Wasn't Celebrity Survivor also the first time the jury voted BEFORE the final TC? And does Survivor South Africa 2's F8 tiebreaker count for anything?

Bump for JT's perfect game being a first. Aside from that, the two immunity challenges in a row, and the first-impressions voting twist in episode one, I
can't think of any other major firsts we had this season.

Minor sidenote, but JT is the first winner to not go to exile island since it was introduced..
Aras, Yul, Earl, Parvati and Bob each went to exile at least once. China didn't have an exile island, so it doesn't count. |

Eh, Tom doesn't really count if you think about it. Exile was introduced in his season, but it was only used once and not made a permanent twist.
