In terms of professions, we have had some pretty out-there ones, but we have never had any religious figure, and I don't think we have had any stay-at-home dads either. Also, it's been a while since we have had an Alicia type, where a female is stronger than almost all the guys.
I agree that there needs to be some one who comes from a religious profession or order, but technically nuns and brothers don't count because they swore to a life of poverty (unless they've changed that). It would be like the only reason they would want the money is to give it all to charity or use it to help keep their monastary going.
Also, technically Crystal was an Alicia type of person. She is a big, strong, athletic type who trained for the Olympics. But I guess what you're really looking for is a black Jillian (the trainer from the Biggest Loser). Some one who makes it her living to be well built and strong, so she could train others to be like her.
I do have to say though, that if the casting does want to diversify they will need some Native Americans or some Inuits. Or as some people have mentioned immigrants. I believe Ace is the only person to come closest to that and the reason why people didn't believe he was an immigrant is because he has been living in America so long it had an affect on his accent. You need some one whose immigration was much more recent.
