I don't mind a player winning if I respect their game, even if they annoy me. I just don't think Ken has played a good game (lots of luck followed by lots of squandering that luck away), and I don't think the editing has presented him as having played a good game. They have had many chances to showcase his game in a positive way, or his relationships, but they never did. Even his feelings on Crystal were never built up. The relationship we saw in the most depth from his POV was Michelle, who was hated by her team and left almost immediately.

In many episodes this season the recap has strongly mentioned Kenny, he's up there on the confessional count, and he's been key to quite a few boots. He had a direct hand in sending Ace out, getting Susie to flip on Marcus, and the Charlie blindside with Sugar.

Many of his confessionals as the game has gone on have been about how great he thinks his game is, how awesome he is, etc. There hasn't been much to put him into the center of a narrative. They painted his decision to get rid of Charlie as being anti-strategic, gave Crystal the credit for Marcus, and rained on the Ace vote with that Sugar/Matty scene in the following episode. Most of this all went in one direction -- the Charlie vote and the reaction to the Ace vote both foreshadowed Sugar realizing Ken was not what she thought he was and turning against him. Ken being a very minor presence in the most strategically important boot of the season foreshadowed that when he was in charge of a vote-out, mistakes would be made.

Kenny in the boat stuck on a log made no sense other than to progress his story arc. Why show it? Out of ALL the footage they could possibly show, Kenny twirling the boat around in a swamp is the most fascinating? In my mind it showed him overcoming obstacles and competition

I took that scene as Ken barely managing to overcome obstacles he'd created himself. I think it's been a metaphor for his gameplay. He had clear sailing for a while, and then managed to sink his game. I think his story may have ended when Crystal walked out.

I'm not saying he won't win, I'm only saying I haven't seen it in his edit, or in the interviews (where Corinne basically says that not keeping her cost Ken the game, and where Crystal says Sugar was more of a mastermind than Ken).

I guess we'll wait and see. I won't be shocked if he wins. I simply don't believe the editing has paved the way for him to win.

Doesn't this statement back up KF2 post? And why flash the words "Success"?

I see it more as Ken just missing the F3, or not winning. All the work he's done, or thinks he's done, and he undoes all of it right before the end.

"Success" could mean he wins. I just don't think the actual editing of the show or the interviews have backed that up. Maybe they're pulling another joke on viewers and the "success" was the only key to knowing he'd win.
