For someone to get treated like Rebecca did is awful.

Yeah and I wonder how far away they actually are to the survivors. It would be weird with cameramen right there next to you the whole time. They probably have
super zoom lenses or something.

Obviously they are told when to leave for a challenge, usually having to be transported. Then they have to get the camera angles, Jeffy's makeup, etc just right...they probably stand there quite a while before "Come on in, guys!"How do the tribes know when its time to go to challenges? Both tribes always 'seem' to arrive at the same time. Do the producers tell them? Many times it could be a zoom lens, but when they are, for example, walking through a jungle path to strategize, there's no way to film it besides being right there with them (often walking backwards!). Former survivors say they just get used to the cameras after while, when they're there 24/7...though the newer seasons and the mctor/recruits to appear to have created more deliberate "sound bite" conversations than the impromptuness of the earliest ones. |

She was also one of the few applicants that season. She went to a casting call (granted, being Elisabeth's make-up artist gave her a connection, but she wasn't a straight-up recruit). I would be so pissed if I was on the show for ten episodes and didn't get any confessionals after Episode 5 (not even on her boot episode).Thailandsurvivor wrote:Who? |

I'm likin this thread!
So why did the survivors on some seasons only get one outfit and other seasons it looks like they have 2,3 even 4 different outfits! |

They've done the "clothes off your back" twist in four different seasons: Pearl Islands, Palau, China, and Gabon. The whole concept is to strand
the Survivors in their regular clothes and leave them with nothing (usually this is accomplished by telling the castaways that they're going out for
another round of press interviews and photos and then marooning them).
In all the other seasons, I think the Survivors have been able to bring along a few different outfits of more appropriate outdoor gear. |

Ok this question I cant ever seem to get an answer to. Susie got a fresh clean plaid shirt after she had her 'bath' that she won. Yet, you dont see
her wearing it once through the rest of the season. Why?

She wore it for the rest of that episode!

I've seen her wearing it a few times. She at least wore it to Randy's last Tribal Council.
Here's a question for the people who have been around awhile. In Thailand, though the captions said they had named the merged tribe "Chuay Jai" (combining "Chuay Gahn" and "Sook Jai"), on the tribe flag they had clearly painted the word "Tarutao" (which was the name of the island) along with all of their names. The words "Chuay Jai" weren't on the flag at all. Did production just not like "Tarutao" and pick "Chuay Jai" post-show? |

Tarutao was just the name of the island I think, and they eventually did let the cast name themselves..
But even though it was a 'clothes off your back' season, don't Gabon players have 2 sets of clothes? I mean in episode 1, Matty had a tanktop that has never been seen again, and he has that t-shirt now. Dan had the sleeveless shirt and the suit. Crystal had the dress and then the dress shirt. I don't remember any others... |

Yeah, where is Crystal's dress that caused her to lose the first immunity in addition to the 10 lb shoes?

I just found it weird that they put "Tarutao" on the flag instead of their actual tribe name. It certainly looked like a tribe name, and it would
have been a much better tribe name than "Chuay Jai" for sure.
I think Crystal's dress shirt is actually Gillian's old shirt (Gillian was voted out wearing her tank top; she didn't have her usual dress shirt with her). I don't remember Matty having a tank, but it could have easily been an undershirt (like Dan's sleeveless shirt). Crystal's been wearing her original flowered dress, though. It's just so dirty it looks like a solid color. |

It's just so dirty it looks like a solid color. Why is that so funny--Bob mentioned in the visit with his wife that he was wearing his "yellow" shirt but it is brown now. I guess they don't have the Jabaru girls to wash their clothes in the water pot for them. |
