Enjoyed the finale when I watched it late last night. I was surprised at how many really enjoyable dances there were in what I thought was a pretty weakly
choreographed season. Lots of Melissa Williams eh? And I do agree with Leah when she said after Izaak's first dance of the night that it was the best
he'd danced all season. Really, that was the guy they put in the top 20.
Pluses for waiting until the end to eliminate the other dancers. Always thought that was lame on the US version. Hey, Cat's talking to Lacey thirty minutes into the show. I wonder if she's about to be eliminated? Huge minus for not getting a longer table. Mia and Jean Marc looked like they'd pissed off the hostess at a Denny's. Getting a remind on the best of the dancers helped me solidify my opinions - finally. Best pairing - Vincent & Lisa Best guy - Vincent Best girl - Natalli Favorite dance of the season - Lisa & Vincent's african jazz by Cheesman Favorite performance - Nico & Lisa's paparazzi piece by Blake Who I'd like to have seen win - Natalli In the end Natalli was the most skilled and exciting dancer of the competition. Her performances were always thrilling and I don't think she ever looked out of place in any style (same could be said for Vincent and Allie I think). Her constant appearances in the bottom three made it look like she was always in danger and by the time we got into the top 10 ALL of the women were so good with so little to choose between them. I'm sure at times I would not have thought Natalli was the right person to win but once I started to really look at each of the top four's performances she just stood out more and more. Watch her face when she dances, she's electric. I think Allie got worn down in the last couple weeks of competition and as likeable as Myles was he was always being graded on a curve. Damn good popper and probably the best growth in other styles compared to an Ivan or Twitch. Nico won, expected that. Didn't expect how disappointing it would feel. Yay, the eighth or ninth best dancer won...yay... |

Another great thing about the finale; they showed Vincent's montage. Now THAT was a good decision (even though it probably made him relive the experience
of being booted all over again).
And yeah, as for dancers better than Nico, we had Allie, Lisa, Natalli, Arassey, Vincent, and Danny. Miles is a bit more debatable, so let's give Nico the benefit of the doubt with him. That makes him 7th... yeah, not much better. |

Lol, great awards, but any top 10 list that doesn't include the paso doble is an epic fail (and Allie's samba is also kinda questionable to include,
considering it's your only ballroom routine, and I found it to be one of the weaker ones). But seeing your list makes me realize there were actually a lot
of good dances this year (since I have a ton that I wanted to put in, but it's hard to disagree with most of yours).
Also, I don't think Natalli recieved the most votes at top 6, since there is no B2 (they never say there is). What I like to think they do, is for each gender (male and female) they send one person to the top 4 who got the most votes (Nico), and then the one who got second (Natalli). I actually think Allie was probably the top female vote getter. BTW, didn't Izaak says his genre was "ballet/hip-hop". He did get hip-hop, and since this show will never do a full on ballet routine (it's much to exlcusive), they have to settle for contemporary/jazz/lyrical pieces. I agree about Kaitlyn being underated, but I also found her dancing went downhill after the jazz. Izaak was actually better than her in the jive (seriously,
she was a mess), and she looked very odd in the mambo. Up until then she had been doing very well in her routines, and her solos were solid.

winning but I really
think that Natalli was 'the winner' overall...and she'll benefit big time from this show. Niko is a great guy but I really felt he didn't
'grow' as much as some of the other dancers...and for me...'that's the winnner'. I loved Arassey and Danny...but I'm most disappointed
that Francis (duh) is not going to be on 'the road' (final 10) due to the Izsick votes (and I live in B.C...shame on us!)
