9. Nuclear weapons need nuclear material replenished on a regular basis, and just this week yet another nuclear manufacturing plant was closed because of safety concerns. Some in the Pentagon fear that too much priority has been put on new weapons programs, not enough on current programs, and worry that the resulting shortage would be amounting to nothing less than unilateral nuclear disarmament. Is that a priority that you feel has been ignored by this administration, or are the Pentagon officials making too much of it?
The use of nuclear fusion or fission is definitely safe, as many countries are able to control the dangers of it. I believe that if weaponry is needed, there are better options than nuclear weapons, which can cause permanent damage and continue to affect an area long after the attack has been made. Keeping with my belief on peace, but safety as well, it's important to maintain some levels of ammunition so that other nations don't feel like they can target the US. (PS. I'm Canadian, so we don't even worry about warfare most of the time)
10. Critical Thinking. What are some of the major factors that led to the rise of the elimination thread at Clubs? Please give at least three factors, including supporting evidence.
The first factor that led to the rise of elimination threads at CTS would definitely be Edinboro. Had he not created the Survivor Gabon elimination game, no further elimination games would have risen. The next factor would definitely be popularity. As well as an opportunity to spam, the elimination game gave an opportunity to devoted Clubbers to show their fervent and overzealous love for whatever they were eliminating. They also stood as an evaluation of Suckster popularity. The third factor would be the domino effect that causes more similar threads to be created when a popular or mockable thread attracts attention. Because of this effect, we have elimination games about many shows, elimination games about Sucksters and even elimination games about elimination games... Heck, there was an elimination game in this thread!
