Picked up seasons 1-3 on DVD this week. Woooo!
Why are seasons 1 and 2 so cheap now? Not that I'm complaining, mind you. |

I'm still waiting for 3 to dip down. Had a mini marathon of eps from S1. Got up to "Drumroll Please" with Ted tracking down Victoria from the
wedding. LOVED the bride in those eps. Hilarious. The NYE ep was also a fave of mine. NotMoby was amazing.

The NYE ep was also a fave of mine. At first I read this as an acronym for "New York [something]" and was all like, "Dude, way to not narrow it down!" Belly Full of Turkey Slap Bet Stuff Only "Slap Bet" has a permanent spot in that ranking though, the others kind of change as I watch them. If you'd asked me yesterday I would've put the best burger in NY (this time it does mean New York ;) ) episode in there but I watched it again and wasn't as impressed the second time around for some reason. |

The Mother Revealed? Cobie Smulders Is Pregnant!Spoiler Alert: Robin Scherbatsky is the Mother! Or rather, she's going to be a mother. People reports that Cobie Smulders of How I Met Your Mother and actor Taran Killam are expecting their first child. This comes just weeks after the announcement that her costar Alyson Hannigan is having a baby with hubby Alexis Denisof Congrats, ladies! Cobie's man Taran has appeared on MadTV, Nick Cannon's Wild 'N Out and a little show called How I Met Your Mother. (Cute fact: He and Cobie were born two days apart, according to IMDb.) Happy news, right? And yet the mind boggles: What is in the water over at How I Met Your Mother? Fertility experts should tap that stuff, 'cause it seems to be mighty potent! Also, will the producers be stocking up on oversize laundry baskets and handbags, or might their characters, Lily and Robin, be preggo, too? Well...
There's no telling yet--HIMYM bosses Craig Thomas and Carter Bays aren't leaking any secrets about onscreen anal sex, but Alyson did tell us that so far, they have been hiding her bump on the show. (She's now already in her second trimester, so chances are, they'll just keep hiding it...Unless there's some kind of wacky time jump.) What do you guys think? Should either Robin or Lily have a baby on How I Met Your Mother? And if it's Robin who gets pregnant, should the dad be Barney or Ted? Link

Opening five minutes and we get not only a goat clue, but Marshall and Ted in their dorm room sharing a "sandwich."
A really, really big sandwich. |

Watched a shit-load of the DVDs this weekend. I think Swarley is in my Top 5 eps. Genius start to end.
And the amount of Joss Whedon alums is hilariously ridiculous: Neil Patrick Harris (Dr. Horrible) Alyson Hannigan (Buffy/Angel) Amy Acker (Angel) Alexis Denisof (Buffy/Angel) Tom Lenk (Buffy/Angel) Harry Groener (Buffy) Morena Baccarin (Firefly) |

You. Had it in you." Mahatma Panda and Martin Luther Koala. "Was there a big sale at the wuss market?" "Marshall looks good. Has he lost weight?" "Bitch. Don't even." And of course, much <3 for Will Sasso. |

I think the song they played during Marshall's fight with his brothers is the same "Murder Train" song they played from James Van Der Beek's
band in the "Sandcastles in the Sand" episode.
