Hang on, did they cut Sandra? WTF? Why would you not want the Televisual gold that is Sandra Diaz Twine back for a second season?

I was always surprised Boston Rob got picked over Sean Rector, Paschael English and John Carroll.

Just imagine if Amber wasn't on - Elisabeth on Chapera would provide a million more interesting outcomes in that season.

Imagine the changes if people like Skupin/Liz/Colleen were actually cast. No Rupert/Amber/Jenna L.
They'd probably completely change the tribes so Outback didn't get half a tribe and make then 2 per tribe. Completely new game.... Shame they wanted fucking Rupert back. |

Well Rupert was enormously popular at the time. I never bought into it, but a lot of people did.

Just imagine the impact Colleen/Elisabeth would have had:
On Chapera, Elisabeth would've alligned with Alicia who was alligned with Rob Cesternino, so Boston Rob wouldn't be nearly as powerful. Elisabeth would also likely jump to an alliance with Ethan/Tina/Colby should that opportunity ever arise. On Saboga, no Jenna L. would mean no "OMG WINNERS HAVE TO GO". Rudy would've been booted first if they lost. |

It wasn't only Jenna, the majority of the cast felt that way about winners. By all rights, Colleen may have been the same, you know, as she is all about
who needs money more.

Alicia wasn't aligned with Rob Cesternino. No one was aligned with him because they were all so fucking scared of him, and he and Alicia voted against
each other in Chapera's first TC.
Oh, and did anyone else ever hear that Savage and Alex Bell had huge ego problems when they weren't asked back? I definitely heard that on here before. |

I'd have even preferred Darrah over Amber. At least she won individual immunities, they were just as invisible.

if i had to replace amber i would've replaced her with either t-bird or Gretchen

I was also curious as to why they chose Boston Rob to come back over Sean or John. Seriously, given that nearly every other member of the cast made the jury
(except for Shii Ann, I think), it seems weird that he would get chosen over Sean or John, both of whom were also incredibly entertaining in Marquesas. And
then we got Romber, which was a large part of the season's overall failure (that along with pretty much every other good player being completely unable to
play because they were completely denied, like Rich and Cesternino were, or they all sucked the second time around, like Kathy and Twatwaffle).

I mean, Amber was one of the cutest survivor, so I see they had her in the show, eye candy - but I think Kelly G was just as cute and could have made a lot
more fun stuff in the show. Also, Kelly W., Sean R. had to be there.

It still perplexes me to this day why Amber, Jenna L., Shii Ann, Alicia, and Rob M. were even cast for ASS. It wasn't like they were even that memorable
and it wasn't like they were strategic masterminds in their original seasons. A lot of people had that misconception about Rob M., but he was merely
someone who rehearsed confessionals well pretending to be an actual puppetmaster. Amber and Shii Ann contributed nothing to their seasons. While Jenna L. and
Alicia had big enough personalities, they weren't worthy of All-Stars.
I'm curious to see who the alternates were (or the people who got cut and were replaced). I can list about five men and five women who deserved those five spots. |

Boston Ron was very memorable in Marquesas and was indirectly responsible for the power shift.

Boston Rob was memorable for being a complete ass (albeit, an entertaining one, but still and ass), and the producers had more to do with the power shift than
he did. The coconut challenge was what made Neleh and Paschal flip, and that probably would have happened with or without Boston Rob. He really only persuaded
Kathy, who was already sort of on the outs of the Rotu tribe. So, Boston Rob did very little (he probably hurt the Rotu tribe by keeping Sarah around and
booting Hunter), he was a complete asshole, and he didn't even make the jury. Sean or John would have been much better picks for Marquesas (Kathy was
definitely the correct pick for a female, but she and Lex sort of failed in ASS).
The other option would have been to just increase Marquesas representation. Was it really necessary to have Alicia and Amber, who did basically nothing in their season? Jenna L. and Rupert were also terrible picks (and, alas, they let Romber win), and having Big Tom with Lex and Ethan was just sort of redundant. 2/3 of them would have been fine, but to have three people all from the same alliance was just boring. Same with Sue/Rudy/Rich. 2/3 would be fine, but having all of them was just redundant. There were other players from Pagong and Samburu that should have gotten a second chance. |
