What saddens me the most are the tv commercials advertising it.
Same thing for AC DC's Black Ice a few weeks ago. It's like we're back to the 70's when TV was the way to find out about the latest K-Tel Disco. Not that I ever bought any of them. Nice rack ! � ��

Didn't Izzy write most of the songs on Appetite? No Izzy = Not GnR. I just hope this doesn't bring other even more crappy late 80s early 90s bands out of retirement, like LA Guns, Faster Pussycat, Britny Fox, Skid Row, etc... |

Think back. Use Your Illusion did have a few good tracks. On the whole, it was over produced, Hollywood crap. Appetite was raw and felt like a weekend party
where someone got ripped off, someone got pregnant and someone overdosed. In other words, a good 80s party. This album and Use Your Illusion are like teenage
parties with parental supervision.

I can totally agree with that, APG. Appetite was, still is, the best 80's party CD.
I am just saying that while this was not worth waiting 15+ years for new music...it's still ok. It has those piano driven, angsty, dramatic Axl moments so it's not totally out of touch with any GnR. |
