Haven't seen a thread on this before, but I could be wrong. Anyway, the rites of passage are always one of my favorite parts of the season, especially the
older ones where it was just music and no voice-overs from the castaways. They're just usually so powerful and reflective, it's the one point in the
game where everyone gets their recognition and one last blaze of glory, especially true for the people who didn't make the merge and won't be seen at
all at the final TC.
I've re-watched the ones I could find on Youtube, and some from memory, and here's a list of what I think are the top 10 segments:
10. Cecilia (Cook Islands)
09. Bobby Jon (Palau)
08. Lindsey (Africa)
07. Jenn (Palau)
06. Elisabeth (Australia)
05. Sean (Marquesas)
04. Kimmi (Australia)
03. Stephanie (Thailand)
02. Michael (Australia)
01. Tammy (Marquesas)
Based on the music, the shots picked, the timing, the relevance, all of that. I'd say honorable mentions would be Jeff (Australia), Ghandia, Candice, Ken, Teresa, Nick (Australia), Kim (Palau), and The General. Some just for the music and timing, others, like Candice's, because hers was probably the longest and most detailed ever up until that point.
