Sugar was not picked in the tribal switch. She was sent to Exile Island and would join the tribe that lost the Immunity Challenge. Because Fang lost the
challenge, Sugar became a member of Fang.

site. I must have missed it.
I haven't referenced anything from the list. I definitely must have missed something about this topic that you are so over the top angry about it. |

They've downplayed Ken's strategy as often as not (he was MIA during the Marcus boot). I think that's true for most of the players, we just don't see much of their strategy, if they have any. They've made an active choice to focus less on strategy this season so it can be all about gimmicks and personality. I think we're much more interested in looking for strategy than the show is these days.

At the time the editing also wanted people to believe Kelly should have gone instead of Jacquie. The Ace vote was undermined when they had Sugar burst into tear.s and get upset when she realized Ken had lied to her. They've never allowed Ken to make any decision without a lot of doubt and negativity on his choice. They kept him out of the most pure and logical boot choice (Marcus). Sometimes Ken has been strategic, but they haven't made a point of playing this up. I don't think they've given anyone this season any kind of mastermind edit, or an edit where we should be upset if they don't make it to the end. I think that anyone left who makes it to the end would be a decent winner in the context of this season.

Well, getting rid of Kelly did not hurt Fang. Getting rid of Charlie did not hurt Fang. They still have the majority, so those weren't bad moves at all.

I'm getting a little sick and tired of people degrading Fang's success in this game as "luck" - you NEED luck in this game, you NEED to be
lucky enough for things to go your way, lucky enough that you can trust what your tribe mate, ally, hell even enemy is telling you. If the game had gone
Kota's way, and they had fully dominated, would we attribute their success to luck? Would we be so quick? If in the second switch, Kota still held the
numbers, who would have been the first to say "they're so LUCKY they still have the advantage"...?
Like it or not, this game has taken a spectacular turn because Fang has held it together through some immense challenges and been able to now take a huge advantage in the game. You're so quick to fault them for booting Kelly in what you regard as a "stupid, personal" decision yet how does that not mirror Kota getting rid of Dan, who was fiercely loyal? Over Susie no less, who went on to betray them? Let's give credit where credit is due and realize that as many times as Fang was subjected to Tribal Council, they continued to make shrewd moves, strategic or personal, who gives a fuck really, and it's clearly paid off that they're at a good, as-comfortable-as-you-can-get place in this game that they're at now. The fact that they've gone to TC probably three times as much as Kota and still have an advantage says something - of course luck is involved, but that doesn't mean they didn't earn it. |
