The only way a fake idol has any power is if someone believes it is real.... If everyone knows that Bob's HII is fake then you might as well throw it in the ocean...hahaha

Bob knows it is fake. I have to think that Matty/Crystal/Sugar/Kenny will deduce that it is a fake (especially if they see it) or that Bob lets Sugar in on the secret hoping to secure some good will and possibly start a new alliance. Sugar tells Matty/Crystal/Kenny that Bob made a fake HII. That leaves Susie, Corrine and Randy on the outs.

Bob wouldn't rely on his HII because he knows it is fake... the only power it has for him is if he can have someone else play it (to his advantage) who thinks it is real. So that leaves Corrine, Randy and most likely Susie. Bob will not tell any of those three that his HII is a fake because he is aware that Corrine and Randy would most likely not hesitate to vote him out if it came down to one of the remaining onions.

Of those three, Susie is not liked by either Corrine or Randy so she would not be given the "power" of the HII. Leaves us with Corrine and Randy. Bob finds (spec) Randy distasteful and I don't think Corrine is overly fond of Randy but sees him as a good final two "goat". Bob gives his fake HII to Randy who (after he is insulted by Sugar at the auction when she won't take a cookie from him) decides since he is "safe" he is going to be the jerk of all jerks.

At tribal, he continues to be a jerk and really lets loose. When he finds out his idol is "fake" he goes off on everyone refusing to see that he cut his own throat by being such an ass. ....before the vote is even read. The final vote is almost an anti-climax after Randy's antics. Corrine gives another one of her "soon to be patented" looks of horror when she realizes that the onions have been taken... Bob acts totally shocked that there was a fake idol and Kenny/Crystal/Sugar/Matty all spend fully 1/2 of TC laughing their hineys off.
