God, I can't wait for Nora to give Holly another verbal smackdown. Can we have another food fight a la Season 1? I don't get why Ryan is any of
Holly's business. She was the mistress, not the wife. God she's such an insufferable wench.

Soooo...I know this happens all the time on television, characters start out behaving one way and by the 2nd or 3rd year are wildly different, but has anyone
else noticed just how different Scotty is now from when he first appeared?
I mean, he was flaming in Season 1. He's like a completely different character now. |

They have toned Scotty down considerably largely because public response to Scotty at first was not what they expected. Scotty was beloved right away but the
writers felt the character in his original incarnation would alienate some people (read: homophobic viewers, as if this show has any).

The Walker kids (with the exception of Sarah & Kevin) are all pieces of shit for treating Holly as if she's just your average woman... If I came
face-to-face with my father's mistress & my mother's mortal enemy who has done nothing but try to harm my family and takeover the family business
I'd strangle the bitch...
Oh and can someone stand up to fuckin Robert and tell him to shut the fuck up? I don't understand why he gets away with all his digs on Nora & the kids. PS. Wasn't Robert the one who had the crazy family? I strictly remember all his relatives acting like complete lunatics during a party Norah threw in the season 1 finale (remember the one where they all jump into the pool?)... Fuckin Robert, go fix your own family

Robert can get away with anything and everything because the producers seem to think Rob Lowe is god, or because someone on-staff has a daddy fixation. The
amount of degradation that has gone on to prop up this character is amazing. They have taken one of their best characters, Kevin, and turned him into a
complete moron who is so blinded by his job that he doesn't even know how much he gets paid. The only plausible explanation is Kevin's having so much
closeted gay Republican sex that he's too busy to care about his salary.
Dave Foley's character seemed to have the hots for Tommy. Can't say that I blame him there, especially since he hasn't actually had to spend time with Tommy. |

First I'll say...I love him. I wish I could have someone like him.
Anyway, I see the "toning down" of Scotty a bit more maturation and growth as a human, than as a homophobic audience member prevention. I think that his relationship with Kevin has helped him mature and stabilize, and that is the Scotty we are seeing. p.s. I love him. |

I found last night's episode rather unwatchable - anybody else? I know it was supposed to be cringe-worthy and
uncomfortable but tonally it was all off.

I know that's what the show is all about, but I'm getting a little tired of every episode going along the lines of
-Setting up of future disagreement -Disagreement/Event happens between 2 family members -Dinner involving the whole family, where the 2 parties in question blow up at each other -Resolution of the disagreement |

Yeah! What happened to Dave Foley? Saul wasn't interested and has another love interest. So what? I miss Dave!! I also miss Scotty! Growing up in a large
family I can really relate to this show. Last weeks episode with the two brothers fist fighting I could relate with but that happened many years ago when they
were young teenagers. And as for Robert. Every family has their own superstar. Nora nailed it right on the head when she called Robert out to Kitty. Blood is
always thicker than water.

Must we watch these people fight every fucking episode over the dinner table? I wonder why the fuck they even bother to show up for dinner???
Let me guess, next week, Thanksgiving dinner....same shit again, fight over dinner, then make up at the end of the episode. HATE Kitty/Nora...SHUT THE FUCK UP ALREADY!!! Nora should have cancer and die! Love Scotty/Kevin. They are the only reason to watch this show! |

Did Tommy's wife die in a horrible crash or did I blink and miss getting told she was home with a sick baby? Or was she there and invisible as usual?
Dave Foley portrayed the perfect bad blind date. |

I'm still in the middle of season 2, but can anyone tell me if we ever find out who Elisabeth's real father is? The sperm donation thing was such an
important plot point in S1 and all, it'd be interesting to see if they bring it up again. My guess is that Kevin is the real father (not sure why...) I
suppose they'd have to wait for Lizzie to be a bit older and actually find out that Tommy's not her real father etc (and also about her dead twin
brother).
