Corinne and Randy are the evil now, Fang are the underdogs we're supposed to root for.I can't see Fang as underdogs when major scenes are devoted to one of them bragging about what a mastermind he is. They also avoided any real positivity for Susie winning an immunity challenge. The story of someone who was next to go on Kota then flipping the game over and winning the first individual immunity, and the biggest reaction from the host is barely above a shrug.
I think we're supposed to see a few people in Fang as underdogs, or as sympathetic, maybe Matty and Sugar, but the tribe itself is still very factionalized and I think a few of their members are heading for a fall.
I'm still keeping an eye on Matty and Randy (even though Randy has no chance of winning), just because they were the only ones who were shielded from the ugly Fang edit before the first tribe swap, and Matty continued to get a mostly positive, slow-building edit even in future hellish weeks at Fang.
I also wonder if we're actually supposed to see Randy and Corinne as evil, or if the show expects viewers to just see them as wild, entertaining OTT characters. I remember in Cook Islands when the media arm of Survivor kept reinforcing that Jonathan was supposed to be a villain (even though many of us watching saw him otherwise). I haven't seen that type of push from Jeff with Corinne or Randy.
