This is a game where people vote to give you money. Taunting them makes them less likely to give him money, especially when he hasn't done very much in challenges or in strategy to give the impression that he's a great player. He will have to convince them he deserves the money. I think he either doesn't care about getting the money, or he assumes he's so awesome that he'll win as long as he gets to F3.
