Their eyes are making me melt.... can't ... adopt.... anymore dogs! My puppy chases her tail a couple of times a day. She always looks sheepish when she is
done because she never gets it and must realize sometime during the chasing that it is her own tail. lol. I love dogs.

PC - go the shelter route. You can spend enough time with a dog to get a pretty good idea of it's energy level and you won't have the worries about
hips and eyes, etc. that you have a with a purebreed.
Or - look into a rescue like CBR does. They have purebreeds. www.petfinder.com is a good place to at least start looking at pets in shelters and rescue groups. |

Thanks everyone. I had the rare ability to have the vet come to me so she could pass away here at home.
She was my family and familiar <3 |

Anyone here have a Bulldog or know someone who does? I had one and will be getting another next spring! What's your question? The farting can be stopped! Well, somewhat anyways. They do have rescue Bulldogs out there but you'll have to do your research to find them. They are great for short bursts of exercise but not so great for endurance events. They are fantastic cuddlers and will always want to please you. They are great with kids. They are not, however, good in hot days so the beach thing might not be an option unless you can them in the water on a regular basis and keep them in the shade somewhat to keep them cool. You can teach them to skateboard! I could write a whole page about them so if you want, let me know about those questions. Then I can give some detailed answers. I'm sorry about your cat, SurvivorArtic.

Here is Swimmy!
Pencake has actually "adopted" Swimmy away from my son and now claims it as his own. It's so cute to watch him (Pencake) feed him a food pellet, and then press his nose against the glass to watch him eat it. SO C00T!!!! He also renamed him to "Cornelius Swimmy". |

all your dog pictures and stories make me miss my sweet dog, buster, so much...i had to leave him in georgia when i moved to canada.
but we have two great cats (had three, but my 15 year-old male, osgood, that moved here with me got sick a few months back and we had to put him to sleep), and we're hoping to get a new kitten tomorrow. :0 if i ever figure out my digital camera and how to post pictures i'll post some. sorry for the over-long post, but i just wanted to share the puppy love. :) |

SA, sorry it was time for you and your friend to part ways for a while.
I have a cat issue. While we have moved to a larger home, the room where we have been keeping the cat boxes is much, much smaller than in the old house. It reeks. I mean REEKS. I can't stand it and I think I might be going a little bit crazy/manic because of the anxiety this smell is causing. The cats aren't pissing anywhere except in their boxes, the boxes are cleaned thoroughly and regularly, the room is vacuumed every two days, the carpet has been cleaned, but I can't make the stink go away. I'm not sure if it really does stink anymore, I just know that it did. I may have gotten the smell out and may just be imagining it. Sometimes I can ratchet myself into smelling and hearing things that aren't necessarily there. Does clumping litter do a better job controlling smell than regular litter? I'll switch if need be. |

tres, feline pine litter works really well...have you tried that? it smells nice and natural, not that heavy perfumey smell most litters have.
baking soda in regular litter helps a bit, too...it neutralizes the acid in the pee or something. |

That's such a beautiful picture of her SA. The sun hits her just right.
Graper? I'm sorry about your dogger, but you do know you were doing the right thing by leaving him there don't you? You're a good pet owner even if it sometimes hurts. |
