duggie, you had a PWD growing up? I absolutely ADORE my Murphy - he can be quite the handful, but that is part of what I love about him.
After 2 kids, I wanted another baby - but NOT another human one, and when I was researching breeds, the PWDs jumped out at me and stole my heart. I swear, we had to go through more scrutiny to get a damn dog than to actually reproduce another human. Want a real live person? Sure, fuck away! Want one of these dogs - like applying to be an FBI agent! Murphy loves the bath, too but he loves, loves, loves taking a shower - he tries to get in with me every morning and when we do the weekly "Dog Beauty Shop" at my house he just loves his shower - he actually sings in there! He does this deep throated yodle/moan/song that translates to "I am happy dog. I love water raining on me. Feel so good." But, I hate everyone thinking he is a doodle - NOT a doodle, a Portuguese Water Dog, damnit! |

Ha ha! I loved Moose and HATED when people called him a poodle. GAH! Saddest day ever when my Pop and us kids had to let him go to the other side. Shower

One week later and our little adoptee, Laila, is finally acting like a real Boxer. She's playing with her "sister" and "brother,"
she's chasing her tail, and she's put on a few pounds. Yeah, I think she has decided she kind of likes it here.

PC - Bulldogs have a tendency to fart. A LOT!
Yuku - your boxers are ADORABLE!! Do they drool a lot? My husband's family used to have one and they had towels strategically placed around the house to wipe her mouth. She was the sweetest dog - even if she WAS wet most of the time. |
