So does Matty's unseen swearing on his girlfriend to Ace indicate that he abandoned old tribal lines immediately upon the switch for whatever
clearly-has-no-grip-on-Survivor-gameplay reason and in what sense could that ever be conveyed as honest? Stupid, reckless, unthinking, pathetically poor
gameplay okay, but honest?

At the begining of the episode, when matty/dan/susie/randy were confirming their alliance matty said he cant deal with crystal, in addition to that he knows he is on the outs with those three, so him becoming third in an alliance (ace/sugar/matty) and becoming the alliance in control instead of settling for fourth isnt poor gameplay! |

It is when you've got an extremely small time frame in which to actually speak to the new people and adjust to the new dynamic and especially when
you've got someone there spilling everything she knows about the dynamics of her ex-tribe. It's not like the three other Fang members ever excluded
him -that was him doing that, they were perfectly willing to work side by side with him. In what world would he have not been the 4th wheel in the other group
as well? Seems more like a case of "I don't like these people so let's not even consider them as a strategic option" which is always poor
gameplay.

Um...yikes. Doesn't sound like Jacquie and Kelly bonded in loser lodge. Don't they normally hold back on bashing people they later met up with and
hashed stuff out? Of course, maybe Kelly got booted and they still just didn't get along, but to me, that indicates that Kelly makes jury.

Not only did dan and matty speak at the begining of the episode about how the three excluded them, later on after the tribe switch the three spoke to kelly and said it would be them four, no mention of matty! He wouldnt have been four in the other group since there only would have been three of them ( i was talking after the boot). |

Jacque also was shocked to hear Crystal was an olympic athlete so I think Crystal makes Jury and maybe Kelly.

jackie said she would have brought marcus or sugar to final two. She had a secret alliance with ace and sugar and new about the idol. eta:buddytv |

Matty was clearly on the outs with Ken, Crystal and CG and was edited postively in comparison to them. Oviously he would try to save Jacque in those
circumstances. It might be a setup for when Sugar comes to their tribe with the idol?
Thanks for bolding the interesting parts of Jeff's blog, Joaqenix. The rest of it speaks more towards how Jeff thinks the game should be played and not how it really is. Really sucks for Jacque... |

Jacquie doesn't seem to like Kelly at all in her post-show interviews.. which is funny, considering that they seem to have bonded at LL (judging by the
MySpace speculation).

Best move: Kenny choosing Kelly. Kenny is playing to WIN. He's taking chances. Kelly seemed like a ridiculous choice and Kenny played it as such saying he chose her because "she's hot." Lie. He chose her because he sensed a lost puppy in need of a home and he believed he could use her vote to further his own game. Video gamers all over the world must be loving skinny little Kenny with the creepy long fingernails. Another one to watch out for down the stretch.Jeff must have a very low opinion of people who play video games, if he thinks they're all panting over some clod who makes a common sense move and then guffaws like he's the most brilliant player around. For all Jeff's hype, I didn't think Ken got a very good edit, I thought it was an emphasis on Ken getting a cheap thrill out of using Kelly, not on Ken making a game move. What does that even mean? Isn't Matty lying to everyone about his background? Didn't he try to get Dan voted out in episode 2 and then team up with Dan later on (I doubt he ever told Dan he tried to get him voted out)? If Matt doesn't win it's because he's a bad player, not because he's the epitome of honesty and integrity. Plenty of people have played Survivor in an honest way, and yet Jeff doesn't break out the violins for them. I do think it was strange they set up Randy v Susie, and gave her the sympathetic edit, if Dan is the one who is leaving next. If Dan's the next one out I would think he would have had at least a confessional about his role on NuKota. As for Jacquie having a low opinion of Kelly, I can see that continuing even if they were both in LL. I don't think Crystal will be in LL, but even if she was, she probably kept quiet about her Olympic past. After those dreadful challenge performances, she wouldn't exactly want to say she'd pulled a fast one. |

Crystal still pushed for dan and then matty said "if thats what you guys decided then ill do it." If matty didnt defend dan and was like "yup, definiltey, we have to get rid of dan" it would be different, but thats not what happened! ALso, on a different subjefct, earlier today there were tons of new episode 4 insider videos at the cbs website, but now i cant find them, anyone know what happened to them? there were some really good ones filled with gc bashing! ETA: nevermind, there up again, under latest videos.

Thanks to the editing, we saw so little of Jacquie's game, we have no idea how she treated Kelly. We know Paloma and Kelly were relatively isolated, but
they seemed to do a lot of that to themselves. Jacquie was never that close to Sugar or Ace and while she may not have emphasized that enough to save herself,
I think Kelly was just looking for any chance to lash out at her old team. Jeff can comment after the fact because no matter how much he pushes himself on the
players, he's not actually in the game. He gets to have it both ways. Manipulate them and then moan about them with the pretense of being some all-seeing,
all-knowing sage. And since he has become such a big face of Survivor, and the editing is more likely to support his bias, people will never get to see another
perspective.
I just wish he'd take a break for a few seasons. |

But for most of her time in the game, she wasn't all that close to them. I don't think a quick alliance made Kelly's mind up for her, I think she
was probably going to go along with Fang no matter what, just to get back at her old team any way she could.

Has it been considered that maybe Kota just doesn't lose? If, as rumored, Kelly, GC, Ken, and Dan are all pre-jury, maybe Kelly leaves due to the idol next
week, then Matty flips and GC and Ken go, leaving us with 11. Early merge, and then Dan just gets the Brandon/Jeff/Nick merge boot for bland likable alpha
males.

Dan appears to be the only pre-merge boot we have set in stone due to his myspace pictures. He could be picked off at a late Kota TC, or be a victim of an
early merge. Both are plausible.
I see 2 possible scenarios for the next sequence of TCs. We have Sfever's vulnerabilities, which indicate Kelly, GC, and Ken are in danger. (Along with Dan) We also have Jeff's "Good Vs Evil" scenario, which seems to have started to emerge this episode with the boot of Jackie over Kelly. The problem for me comes from the fact that Matty/Ace/Sugar surviving Fang would be a "good guys win" scenario, when we already seem to have Kota as our "Love Tribe." It's also possible Good v Evil emerges as a theme later, at the merge. But these are the two scenarios I can potentially see playing out in the next week or two. First scenario- Sugar's HII is used at the next Fang TC (Possibly due to Matty ratting the target out), sending home GC, Ken or Kelly. Matty joins with Ace/Sugar and threatens to force a tie, causing Crystal to flip on her alliance and vote out the remaining 2 members in subsequent tribal councils. Second scenario (aka pure spec based on the "Evil" thing.)- Fang goes to TC. The Gang of 4 tells Matty who they're voting out. Matty alerts Ace/Sugar. The Gang of 4 then vote out Matty as Ace or Sugar use the HII, in one of the most ruthless moves in Survivor history. Ken started watching with Cook Islands, so he probably saw the Edgardo blindside. Could be something else entirely, as always. |

We have Sfever's vulnerabilities, which indicate Kelly, GC, and Ken are in danger. SF said that Jacquie was safe last episode. I don't think they know too much more than we do. |
