Not that that's horrible and should never happen but we've actually seen this a few times as mentioned above, yet Fiji was the only time the men ever severely outnumbered the end game.

Dumbass Mactor tribe: votes out Loveable Mommy/Grandmommy/Brat Editors at the end of the season: "Uh oh. We can't have all the loveable people leaving early. Let's underedit them and give these women like 2 confessionals in 4 episodes, that way the audience won't care when the tribe votes them off." Consequence: Boring premerge with a bunch of dud men controlling the game and a bunch of women appearing dud-like being voted out early. The other women being dragged along post-merge eventually lose, so let's edit them as duds too so that the audience won't be mad. End result: The whole season sucks ass. Gabon will be there soon enough...
